Sanctuary Dance Academy

Dance Classes Begin on August 11th for the 2025-2026 season. Tuition is due by the 10th of each month. Various events and breaks are scheduled throughout the year, including Bring-a-Friend Week, Dress-Up Week, Observation Weeks, and holiday breaks.

An Adult/Teen Ballet Class offering structured instruction for teenagers and adults, focusing on fundamental ballet techniques, posture, and graceful movement.

This is a special Mommy & Me class designed for parents and their little ones to enjoy together, focusing on early movement and bonding through dance activities and music.

Our fun-filled tumbling classes are designed just for our youngest movers! Through games, obstacle courses, and basic gymnastics skills, students will develop coordination, balance, strength, and confidence in a safe and encouraging environment. Our little tumblers in Preschool Tumbling will learn foundational movements like rolls, jumps, bear crawls, stretches, and more—all while building listening skills and body awareness. With a focus on play-based learning, this class will help children grow physically and socially while having a blast! Our older students in our Tumbling 1 & 2 Class will learn more challenging and age-appropriate skills in a fun and encouraging environment! Tumbling is a non-performing class and therefore does not participate in the yearly spring recital. However, special parent observation days are planned for both the fall and spring semesters so parents can enjoy seeing the progress and skills their children have learned!

This contemporary dance class explores the expressive and athletic qualities of movement through a fusion of modern, ballet, and improvisational techniques. Dancers will build strength, flexibility, and fluidity while learning to express choreography. Each class includes a warm-up, floor work, center combinations, and across-the-floor progressions. Emphasis is placed on musicality, storytelling, and expression while encouraging creativity, experimentation, and growth as we use dance to honor and worship God!

Sanctuary Dance Academy's Dance Company is a wonderful opportunity to use dance to reach others with the love of God! As a company, students will be instructed in dance choreography from the beginning of the semester, with an extra emphasis on stage presence and presentation. Each class will also include a short devotional. While this class focuses primarily on choreography, strength, flexibility, and strong dance technique will also be practiced and emphasized in class and students will see their abilities as a dancer strengthen and grow as they participate!

This upbeat and stylized class focuses on the foundations of jazz technique — sharp movements, dynamic footwork, turns, jumps, and expressive performance quality. While rooted in traditional and contemporary jazz styles, dancers will also explore moments of fluidity and emotion inspired by lyrical dance to enhance musicality and storytelling. Set to a mix of Christian pop and contemporary music, this class is perfect for dancers who want to develop strong technique while adding depth and style to their movement. It’s the perfect class for kids who want to move with both power and style!

In this exciting and fun-filled dance class, students will be instructed in folk dances from around the world with a primary focus on Israeli folk dancing, which is a combination of many national folk dance styles. Additionally, we will use similar steps and footwork--along with some added props and a unique, artistic style--to learn choreography to modern Christian Worship Music. Students of this class will learn multiple dances each semester, and will perform 2-4 dances in the spring recital. Come join us for a wonderful time together as we learn how to use the gift of dance to honor and worship our Savior!

The elegant art of ballet dance originated in the country of Italy, but was developed in the royal court of France. Training in this style begins with our tiniest dancers at the age of 3 and continues throughout a lifetime due to its highly leveled nature of complexity and the skills needed to master the art. Known for its use of grace, poise, flexibility, and strength disguised with beauty, ballet is a beloved dance style all over the world!

This welcoming and encouraging class offers adults and teenagers the opportunity to explore the beauty, grace, and discipline of ballet in a supportive environment! Whether you're brand new to ballet or returning after time away, this class focuses on building strength, flexibility, posture, and musicality through classical technique. Each session includes barre work, center combinations, and gentle stretching, with modifications offered for all levels. Perfect for improving body awareness, coordination, and overall well-being—no tutu required, just a willingness to move and enjoy! We hope you will join us! We currently offer our Adult/Teen Ballet classes in 8-week sessions. Adult/Teen Ballet is a non-performing class and therefore does not participate in the yearly spring recital. However, a special in-class performance may be offered in the spring at the preference of the class participants!

Join us for the sweetest thirty minutes of your week! Our "Mommy and Me" dance class is for 2 year olds and their mommy (or daddy!) to come and learn the basics of rhythm and movement in a structured class environment! Students will learn using props and imaginative play with exciting dance games! We currently offer Mommy & Me Classes in 8-week "mini-mesters."
