Younger dancers, ages three to six, can discover the joy of movement through engaging "Double Combos" classes, expertly blending basic Tap and Ballet techniques with age-appropriate music, fostering balance, grace, musicality, and manners. Students also benefit from private lessons tailored for dance team tryouts, wedding dances, and technique refinement. Led by a passionate and dedicated team of instructors, including owner and instructor Mrs. Anna Claire (AC), Ms. Buffy, Mrs. Loren, Ms. Nina, Mrs. Ayaka, and Mrs. Laurel, SoZo Dance Academy provides high-energy, quality instruction. Mrs. Laurel brings a passion for ballet, Loren Hilliard excels in tap and working with young dancers, and Ayaka Esquivel encourages confidence with her background in gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics. The academy boasts two well-equipped dance rooms, including Studio 'A' with a floating dance floor and ample mirrors, and Studio 'B' designed for younger dancers and tap. Students can also access an extensive costume closet and "Buffy's Boutique: The Barre Necessities" for dancewear. SoZo is committed to fostering a love for dance within the Murfreesboro community, creating a supportive atmosphere where every dancer can grow and thrive on their dance journey, with opportunities to participate in the studio's annual recitals and The Nutcracker holiday performance.

Adult Classes
$10.00

ADULT CLASSES 18 and up Classes are $10 per class on a drop in basis.

unlimited classes
$170.00

The tuition is as follows: $170 for unlimited classes.

one 80 minute class per week
$75.00

The tuition is as follows: $75 per month for one 80 minute class per week.

one 50 minute class per week
$60.00

The tuition is as follows: $60 per month for one 50 minute class per week.

combos dancers

Registration for all combos dancers (ages 3-10) is $75. For leveled dancers (ages 11+), that registration is $90. This fee holds your dancer's spot in their class and serves as the recital deposit for the spring show. This includes 2 tickets to the recital, tights necessary for their performances, and all extra production fees.

Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Lyrical, and/or Pointe

Dancers aged 10 and up are placed in 50-minute long intensive classes that focus on individual styles. You can contact the office for an appointment to get placed in the appropriate spot. Leveled dancers have more solo opportunities in our shows and perform for each style in the spring recital.

Triple Combos

The triple combo classes are ninety minutes long and meet once per week. These dancers are taught the principles and disciplines of ballet, tap and jazz. Combo classes are divided by age and skill.

Our double combo classes are for children ages three to six. Each 50 minute class is loaded with fun, age-appropriate music, and basic dance technique for your young one. Class is split between tap and ballet, giving our dancers a well-rounded foundation. Throughout the year, they learn about balance, grace, music, and manners and hopefully come away with life-long friends.

We also offer private dance lessons for dance team tryouts, wedding dances, and general technique for those interested.

hiphop

We teach a variety of classes in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hiphop. We also offer private dance lessons for dance team tryouts, wedding dances, and general technique for those interested.
