Classes

Music Makers

Singing, dancing, and playing instruments all while learning the basics of music. We incorporate themes and story telling into our lessons, allowing children to use their bodies and voices to share their creativity with their friends in a safe environment.

Dance

We follow a wonderful curriculum called Once Upon a Ballet. It is age appropriate ballet instruction inspiring children through a magical fairytale themed lesson. We also incorporate other types of creative movement.

Once Upon A Ballet

Once Upon A Ballet classes provide high quality, age-appropriate ballet instruction while inspiring young children through magical, fairy tale-themed lessons. When children enter a Once Upon A Ballet class, they aren't just stepping into any ballet class. They get to BECOME part of the fairy tale as their dance activities take them through a fairy tale story--all while learning proper ballet technique, making friends, and having fun!

Adult Classes

We offer adult dance classes in a fun, judgement free zone. Our classes are designed for beginners to advanced dancers.

Leaps & Turns

Leaps and Turns is designed to help increase a dancer's leaping and turning technique. It gives dancers the opportunity to focus on a particular skill or learn a more advanced skill.

Teen Classes

Our teen classes offer dancers the unique opportunity to refine or learn foundational technique in a variety of genres including PBT/ Contemporary, Tap/ Hip Hop, and Jazz/ Lyrical. Dancers benefit from the more intimate setting and individualized feedback to help them reach their goals. Whether you are a teen beginner, a dancer coming back to the art form after some time away, or the advanced dancer looking to hone in on a specific genre or skill, this class benefits all.

Pointe & Pre-pointe

Pointe explores ballet on a deeper level. It is specifically for those dancers who wish to spend intense time strengthening and devoting time to the art of ballet. It requires a higher level of commitment, awareness, discipline, and time in order to engage with it safely. Dancers learn what it takes to prepare, condition, and execute this style with poise and grace. Seeing our young students grow into elegant pointe dancers over the years is such a joy for our dance family!

Acrobatic Arts

Acrobatic Arts is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Often defined by unique choreography, acro dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, line and extension with acrobatic movements in a dance context.

Combo Classes

Our combo classes offer dancers the ability to try multiple styles in one class session. These classes provide foundational skills and versatility so that they are set up for success in any of our classes in the future.

Technique Classes

Our dancers have the opportunity to work with our teachers to condition, stretch, and receive isolated technique practice. The goal: Empower them to practice intentional and safe dance. We believe when our dancers have awareness around how they execute each move they foster self- confidence, personal respect, and a continuous growth mindset!

Musical Theatre & Broadway

Musical Theater and Broadway are unique blends of many different dance styles, but are identifiable by the emphasis on exaggerated movement, character driven storytelling abilities, and are often grounded their rich history with Broadway itself. Students in these classes gain the athleticism, confidence, and focused performance quality practice necessary to be successful in a theatrical setting. Many go on and participate/ choreograph their middle/ high school musicals.

Preschool Classes

Creative Movement and Primary Ballet offer our youngest dancers the opportunity to explore movement in creative ways that will serve as the foundation for their future dance experiences. They work with their imagination to sharpen skills like balance, rhythm, hand-eye coordination, and movement exploration through multi-sensory activities. Dancers also learn introductory ballet terminology and technique during their class experience.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop incorporates a variety of old and new urban dance styles. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. Hip hop dancing is very dynamic and helps the dancers improve flexibility develop body balance, and coordination.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a style that provides creative space to combine many relevant styles while stylistically utilizing breath and emotion to drive its expression. It encourage versatility and improvisation to push the boundaries of traditional dance styles.

Lyrical

Lyrical dance is the perfect blend of ballet and jazz technique combined with an emotional emphasis on the music. Dancers work to blend the styles to seamlessly create intentional stories that inspire their audiences. This style provides the dancers an opportunity to engage with the way movement makes them feel and provide space to bring attention to specific lyrics or musical components within a song. It reinforces and encourages technique application through a unique lens allowing dancers to connect and make meaning of the world around them.

Jazz

Jazz dance is an exploration of grounded movement and percussive sound. Classes emphasize musicality, movement isolation, breath, the use of energy, rhythm and stylization. Students will be exposed to various forms such as Broadway, Concert Jazz and Commercial Jazz to help develop a well rounded and versatile dancer. Class curriculum is built around the awareness of its African roots combined with intentional use of ballet technique. Students engage in a warm-up with isolations, across-the-floor skill progressions, combinations, and stretching.

Tap

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style, and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, weight transfer, and speed. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear sounds, and having fun. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

Ballet

Ballet helps dancers maximize technique and understand the body’s movement functions. It provides grace, poise, discipline, and structure needed to be proficient and safe in many other styles of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence.
