Founded in 2005 by Artistic Director Sally Jacques, the studio has earned renown for its transcendent aerial dance works and site-specific performances on urban structures. Blue Lapis Light offers a diverse range of aerial arts classes and workshops for all ages, body types, and skill levels, including Aerial Silks (levels I-V), Harness, and Corde Lisse. Their premiere aerial dance center boasts 27ft tall ceilings and numerous anchor points, ensuring a safe and enriching training environment with rigorous equipment inspection and limited class sizes for individualized attention. Beyond its professional company, Blue Lapis Light is deeply committed to community engagement. Through programs like "Youth Taking Flight," they empower young individuals, fostering confidence and self-esteem while encouraging creative expression. For supervised self-guided practice, "Open Studio" sessions are available.
