Dancers Workshop, a cornerstone of high-quality technical dance training in Austin, Texas, has been fostering a love for dance for over four decades since its founding in 1974. We offer a comprehensive curriculum designed for students of all ages and levels, encompassing a diverse range of styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Acrobatics. Our mission extends beyond technical proficiency, emphasizing the development of physical and mental maturity through the art of dance, instilling valuable life lessons. Dancers Workshop is proud to be home to dedicated faculty recognized among the best in the state, committed to nurturing passion and growth. Aspiring dancers can explore numerous avenues, including performance-focused Companies such as the Creative Culture Dance Company and Ovation Ballet Company, as well as the competitive Compass Dance Team. Private auditions for CCDC are available, highlighting our structured approach to talent development. We also offer specialized Adult Ballet classes focusing on classical technique and energetic Adult Hip Hop sessions for those seeking dynamic expression. Information regarding enrollment, tuition, academic calendars for Fall 2025-26, and summer programs featuring themed camps and intensives is readily available. Classes

Adult Ballet
$37.00

Whether you’re returning to the studio after years away or looking to build on your technique, our Adult Ballet class is the perfect blend of artistry, movement, and community. Designed for intermediate adult dancers, this class offers a supportive environment where all levels are welcome and encouraged to join. Our experienced instructor, Emily, will guide you through barre work, center combinations, and across-the-floor exercises, helping you improve strength, flexibility, and musicality.

Turns & Leaps

Focuses on technique. Dancers will spend time on progressions and developing strength and balance while focusing on developing turning and jumping skills.

Acro Dance

A class focused on building core strength, acrobatics and tumbling. This helps students with body awareness and stamina in their dance training.

Contemporary

This class is an exploration through not only movement but also how that movement is created. Students are pushed to think “outside of the box” and find themselves as a dancer. Dancers will fine tune their technique, dive into improvisation and participate in class discussions about dance history.

Drill Team Prep

This class is ideal for students who strive to train for high school drill team. Stretching, strength, jazz and kick technique will be covered.

Hip Hop

1-hour dance classes revolving around a contemporary style of street dance. Ballet is strongly recommended for 2nd and 3rd graders.

Jazz Classes

Stylized theatrical dancing based on many other forms of dance and influenced by American jazz music.

Tap Dance Classes

Presents various rhythms made by movements of the feet. Tap develops timing and coordination.

Pointe Dance Classes

Pointe technique is the part of classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet within pointe shoes.

Ballet

Artistic dance form characterized by grace and precision of movement and an elaborate formal technique. Developing body alignment, posture, working flexibility, strength, and coordinating movement are all stressed at this time.

Jazz and Hip Hop

Emphasis on technique, body alignment, rhythm and flexibility begins at this level. All dancers must be currently enrolled in a Dancers Workshop ballet/tap combo class to be eligible for the jazz and/or hip hop class.

1st Grade combo Class

1.5 hour dance classes once or twice per week. Classes emphasize rhythm, musicality and flexibility through Ballet and Tap. Dancers work at barre and gain more terminology and technique.

Kinder & 1st Grade Combo Dance Class

1 hour dance classes once or twice per week. Classes emphasize rhythm, musicality and flexibility through Ballet and Tap.

Preschool Dance Classes

For 3-5 year olds, 1-hour dance classes once or twice per week. Classes emphasize rhythm, musicality and flexibility through Ballet and Tap. More Ballet technique and terminology are introduced.

Creative Dance Classes

For 2-3 year olds, 45 minute dance classes designed to aid gross and fine motor skill development and musicality. Parents must remain in waiting room. Children must be 2 years old by the first day of class.

Adult Hip Hop

We are now launching a 6-week Adult Hip Hop session starting next week, Wednesday, September 24th from 8–9pm with Paityn. This short session allows for flexibility without the commitment of a full year. And even if you can’t make all 6 weeks, you’re welcome to join as a weekly drop-in. Best of all… no membership fees required.
