Amber Blanchard's School of Dance

This class offers a combination of tumble and dance moves. Students will work with others on group and partner stunts as well as many individual ones. We ask that beginner students who register for this class be able to do a cartwheel, handstand roll down & standing backbend. Must be in 1st grade to register.

This class allows each child to be expressive in dance by combining different styles inlcuding jazz, ballet, lyrical and modern dance. Must be 10 years or older to register.

These classes are by teacher approval only and each student registered must also take ballet. Pre-Pointe portion is for students who have not taken it before (they will not participate in Recital). Students will start the year reviewing basic ballet moves and preparing to go on Pointe. Once each child has reached a point that the teacher approves of, they will gradually work their way into full Pointe moves. Students who have taken before will participate in Recital. Pre-Pointe students must have 2 years+ ballet experience. Pointe students must have 3 years+ ballet experience.

This class is a combination of lyrical and jazz. Students will learn technique that will allow them to express themselves through emotion. Students must take Jazz or Ballet to register for lyrical. Must be in 2nd grade to register.

Similar to Tap, only each shoe has an extra metal tap on it that makes an extra noise. Must be in 2nd grade to register.

This class allows students to learn a variety of Hip Hop moves in a fun, upbeat environment. Hip Hop focuses on body movements and rhythm. Must be in 1st grade to register. This is our only class based off of grade level.

Students in this class focus on learning hand-eye coordination and rhythm. For this class, each student will need a baton. If you choose to register, we will measure you in the office and order one through the studio. Must be in Kindergarten to register.

This class allows each student to express themselves in a fun, energetic way. Students learn a variety of skills including leaps and turns. It focuses on technique and developing rhythm. Must be in Kindergarten to register.

This class offers a variety of skills to each student. Students are placed in classes based on skill level. Basic classes will learn things such as forward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands at first. As they advance throughout the year, more challenging skills are added. Our upper level classes work on things like back handsprings and aerials. Must be 4 years old to register. Tumble will not participate in our Recital.

The students in this class will wear shoes with metal taps on the bottom as they learn many different tap moves. This class allows students to focus on rhythm and footwork. Must be in Kindergarten to register.

This class is the basic foundation for all other dance classes. Students will learn graceful technique while also improving their strength and poise. Must be in Kindergarten to register.

This class allows young children to learn basic ballet and tap moves while enhancing their listening and attention skills. Offered to 3 and 4 year olds. Must be potty trained.
