The Greater San Antonio Academy of Ballet, located in Boerne, Texas, is a premier dance studio dedicated to fostering the art of classical ballet and inspiring the next generation of performers. Founded in 2016 by former professional ballet dancers Jose Gonzalez and Carol Tang, the academy has expanded to two locations, committed to instilling discipline, confidence, and body awareness. Jose Gonzalez brings a wealth of international experience, having danced principal roles in renowned ballets across Colombia, Venezuela, and the United States, including with Tulsa Ballet and Ballet San Antonio. Carol Tang, a graduate with a BFA in ballet performance, also boasts extensive professional experience with companies like Cincinnati Ballet and Ballet San Antonio, achieving soloist status. Their shared passion for classical ballet forms the core of the academy's curriculum, emphasizing foundational techniques and artistry. While specializing in classical ballet, the academy also introduces students to complementary disciplines such as contemporary dance and musical theater, broadening artistic horizons. Students are encouraged to showcase their talents in prestigious events like The Nutcracker and competitions such as ADC/IBC 2024.
