Classes

Gentlemen

Dance classes for male students. Attire includes a white or black t-shirt, black pants/shorts, and appropriate dance shoes (black ballet shoes for ballet, black jazz shoes for jazz, black tap shoes for tap).

Adults

Dance classes for adult participants, allowing for appropriate comfortable dance clothing. This category covers various dance styles suitable for adults.

Tap III & Up

Advanced Tap classes for Level III and above. Dancers must wear a black leotard, tan tights, black capris, jazz pants or dance shorts, and black tap shoes, with hair up. If also attending a ballet class, pink tights should be worn for all classes that evening.

Jazz III – VI, Lyrical/Contemporary, Leaps/Turns, Drill Team Technique, Strength & Stretching

A comprehensive set of advanced classes including Jazz (III-VI), Lyrical/Contemporary, Leaps/Turns, Drill Team Technique, and Strength & Stretching. The dress code is a black leotard, tan tights, black capris, jazz pants or dance shorts, turning shoes, with hair up. No midriffs are allowed. If participating in a ballet class on the same night, pink tights should be worn for all classes.

Ballet III – VI

Advanced Ballet classes for Levels III through VI. Students are required to wear a black leotard, pink tights, ballet skirt, pink split sole ballet shoes, with hair in a bun.

Hip Hop I & Up

Hip Hop classes for Level I and above. Dancers should wear athletic clothing like tank tops/t-shirts (no midriffs), and yoga pants/shorts (no jeans), with white sneakers with white soles, and hair up.

Musical Theatre I & Up

Musical Theatre classes for Level I and above. Students must wear a black leotard, tan tights, dance shorts, capris, or jazz pants, tan split sole jazz shoe, with hair up and no midriffs showing.

A combination class for Level II students focusing on Ballet, Tap, and Jazz techniques. Required attire includes a black or pink leotard, pink tights, ballet skirt (optional), pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, and tan split sole jazz shoe, with hair up.

LEVEL II BALLET/TAP/JAZZ

PRE-SCHOOL-LEVEL II

This is a dance class level designated for pre-school aged children up to Level II. The costume fee for this level is $79.99, due by November 15th, and is non-refundable. This fee will be automatically drafted on November 15, 2025.

LEAPS & TURNS III ADV-VI

Students are placed in the appropriate level depending on skill level. These advanced classes focus on the leaps and turns found in ballet and jazz classes which are incorporated into almost every piece of choreography in dance. Emphasis on strength, safety, and proper technique. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will not perform in the spring recital.

LEAPS & TURNS III

This class focuses on the leaps and turns found in ballet and jazz classes which are incorporated into almost every piece of choreography in dance. Emphasis on strength, safety, and proper technique. An excellent class for dancers wanting to dance on their school drill teams, and an excellent companion to a ballet class. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will not perform in the spring recital.

LYRICAL III-VI

Students are placed in the appropriate level depending on skill level. These advanced classes are a fusion of ballet and modern technique. This class challenges the dancer to interpret the music through dance and connect with the music and/or lyrics as a form of expression. This 30-45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

STRENGTH & STRETCHING

This class focuses on flexibility, strength, and muscle control as it combines classical dance technique with preparing for complex movement and precision acrobatic elements. This 30 minute class meets once a week and will not perform in the spring recital.

MUSICAL THEATRE III-IV

With an emphasis on proper jazz and ballet technique, this class challenges the dancer with more varying styles of dance through a deep exploration of the American Broadway musical. This class expands on the skills learned in lower levels and is a great companion class to Ballet III. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

MUSICAL THEATRE II

The curriculum expands from level one as dancers work on more advanced turns, across the floor combinations, and Broadway choreography. They are introduced to a deeper understanding of the craft as well as a richer history of the musicals they study each week. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

MUSICAL THEATRE I

An introduction of jazz technique as well as the style and history of the American Broadway musical. Dancers learn the fundamentals of dance, and learn choreography from a different Broadway show each week. Not only do they gain a knowledge of musical theatre, they learn to pick up choreography quickly. Dancers are challenged to act while dancing and express a range of emotions through their faces, bodies, and sometimes even their voices! This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

HIP HOP III-V

This class takes the skills from level two and incorporates more complicated choreography. It emphasizes both rhythm and musicality, as well as individualism and personality. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

HIP HOP II

This class focuses on hip hop styles and technique. Perfect for the energetic student, this class challenges the dancer to find his or her own individual style through both freestyle movement and hip hop choreography. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

JAZZ III ADV-VI

Students are placed in the appropriate level depending on skill level. These advanced classes focus on intricate and complex strength exercises, center combinations, and across the floor progressions. This one hour class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

JAZZ III

In this class, the jazz syllabus continues on from level two with fundamental skills, solid jazz technique, and a strong awareness of the dancer’s body and how it moves and creates shapes. Through center exercises and progressions across the floor, dancers are challenged with advanced steps and choreography. This one hour class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

HIP HOP I

An introduction to hip hop where popular music is used to introduce this fun style of dance that focuses on rhythm and personality. Dancers have their time to shine as they incorporate their own freestyle movements. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

POINTE V-VI

These classes introduce pointe technique. Students must take at least two years of ballet and be evaluated by a teacher before joining a pointe class. This class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital. *Ballet and ballet technique are required.

BALLET III ADV-VI

Students are placed in the appropriate level depending on skill level. These advanced classes focus on intricate and complex barre exercises, center combinations, and across the floor progressions. Emphasis is placed on strength as a preparation for pointe. This one hour class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital. *Ballet Technique is required.

BALLET III

This class has a continued emphases on the ballet technique and also introduces new skills to prepare the student for upper level classes. We highly recommend adding a ballet class if enrolling in jazz or musical theatre as ballet is the foundation of dance. This one hour class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital. *Two prior years of ballet is preferred, but not necessary.

BALLET/JAZZ II

This class takes the skills learned from level one and progresses into a deeper understanding of proper technique. Students build upon skills at the barre, increase strength and conditioning through age appropriate stretches, and are introduced to the fundamentals of tap and jazz. This 1-1.5 hour combo classes meet once a week and will perform two or three dances in the spring recital.

BALLET/TAP II

This class takes the skills learned from level one and progresses into a deeper understanding of proper technique. Students build upon skills at the barre, increase strength and conditioning through age appropriate stretches, and are introduced to the fundamentals of tap and jazz.
