Club Mickey

Come inside it’s fun inside! We all know the theme song and can do the Hot Dog Dance. So why not spend a week with Walt Disney’s loveable friends, Mickey, Minnie and the gang! There is nothing more magical than the joy that Mickey Mouse has brought to children around the world. This week will be all things Mickey themed and will sure to be a fan favorite.

Hip Hop is a free style of dancing with complete arm and footwork that mimics the classic street-style hip hop that originated in New York City. There are many different styles of hip hop include popping, locking, krumping, breakdancing, breaking, house, waacking and dance hall to name a few.

Lyrical is a dance form which combines techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. Students will learn how lyrical dance emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics to tell a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract.

Tap

Tap dance is a style of dance in which a dancer wearing shoes fitted with heel and toe taps sounds out audible beats by rhythmically striking the floor or any other hard surface. Tap dance as it is known today did not emerge until roughly the 1920s, when “taps,” became popular. It has continued to evolved over time from Vaudeville and Broadway to Step and Rhythmic tap of today.

Jazz & Musical Theatre

Jazz dance has evolved from the classical technique of ballet but is expressed through more upbeat music and quicker movements. The style and feel of the music determines the style of the choreography. Our jazz classes' movement rages from Broadway jazz to contemporary jazz and to the latest jazz funk. Musical Theatre classes will teach our students how to become a triple threat through singing, dancing and acting. During the fall semester the teacher will choose a new musical each month. They will learn about the story, how to portray the characters and learn different styles of dance based on the choreography set for that show. They will learn a holiday themed musical theatre piece for the Studio B Holiday Show and will learn another piece that fits the studio's theme for the May Recital as well.

Ballet is the most beneficial class a dancer can take, no matter their age or experience. All ballet classes focus on classical technique at the barre, centre and across the floor. In addition and strengthening, ballet students learn classical and contemporary ballet choreography. Discipline and focus are both very important in ballet class and are expected of all ages.

MUST BE EVALUATED TO JOIN THIS CLASS. This class is 105 minutes of ballet, tap and jazz technique and is designed to gather and teach dancers interested in taking dance to the next level. This class is for 4-6 year olds interested in auditioning for our competition team next summer (June 2026). Choreography and instruction will be more difficult than our recreational classes of that same age.

Camps

Go for the Gold

Some of our favorite ways to move are showcased at the Olympics and we want in on the action. This week’s camp will be filled with tumbling, gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, dance, jump roping and more classic team and individual games. The end of the week show will showcase our dancers talents and newest skills.

Pajama Party

What is better than dancing in your pajamas with your favorite squishy pillow friends? Nothing! Campers can dance in their pjs all week to pj party themed songs and play fun party games. They will have a blast showing off their favorite stuffed animals and pillow friends and partying with the besties. Campers will end the week with a performance!

Moana & Ariel

One princess wants to be out of the sea and one wants to be sailing across the sea. But one thing is for sure, they will both follow their heart in the end and show off their strength and powerful individuality. Campers will dance and sing to the memorable and catchy tunes of both Moana and The Little Mermaid. They will end the week with a swimmingly awesome performance!

Cheer, Pom & Hip Hop

2-4-6-8 who do we appreciate?! Our sweet, energetic Studio B dancers! We’ll dance, cheer and tumble our way through the week. Campers will learn upbeat hip hop dance combos, Studio B chants and a fun pom routine! As with all our camps, the week will end with a performance that proudly shows off our new skills. GO STUDIO B!

Off to See the Wizard

Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Studio B! Everyone is mesmerized by the brilliance of Wicked and how it tells the story before the iconic Wizard of Oz. Campers will dance and sing to songs from both shows and find their inner Broadway Star! Campers will showcase their new skills in a show stopping performance on the last day!

Disney Princess

Back by popular demand, Disney Princess Camp speaks for itself. Let your little princess spend a whole week pondering that monumentally important question “Who is their favorite Disney Princess?!?” We’ll waltz through dance class, read princess stories, watch some of the top Disney Princess movies and finish the week with a performance in their favorite princess dress-up attire.
