Flamenco Classes

Baile flamenco is a very expressive type of flamenco dancing that comes from Spain. Flamenco is a solo dance that is distinguished by hand clapping, percussive footwork, and complicated hand, arm, and torso movements. Flamenco originated in Spain. Typically, a singer and guitarist will provide the entertainment for the dance.

Folklorico Classes

Fun, lively class in which students learn traditional dances (including polka, chotis, redova, danzas, huapangos, etc.) from various regions in Mexico. Emphasizes stage presence, projection, mime, and intricate footwork.

Tap Classes

This class is designed for adults who already have some knowledge and experience in tap dancing and would want to participate in a more structured weekly lesson that focuses on technique and choreography. In most cases, the instructor's suggestion determines placement in this class. Emphasizes proper tap technique, terminology, rhythm, timing, and improvisation focusing on clarity of sound and tonal variations.

Hip-Hop Classes

Hip Hop fuses together a wide range of urban, street, and pop dance forms, both old and contemporary. The dance style is meant to replicate the physical motions that accompany hip hop's tempo and rhythm. Hip hop is an exciting dance that promotes physical development and growth, including increased mobility, stability, and control.

Contemporary Classes

A great emphasis is placed on modern techniques (contractions and release, off-centre balances and suspension) and musicality and self-expression in contemporary dance. Ballet and modern dance methods are combined with musicality and emotional expression to create contemporary dance. Jazz Classes

This high-energy class includes isolations, progressions, turns, combinations and fun dance routines. In jazz class, you will acquire correct dance techniques such as isolating different parts of the body, working on enhancing the quality of your performances, and establishing more complicated rhythms and patterns. Students will learn different types of jazz dance, such as Broadway, Street, and Contemporary, with the goal of helping them become well-rounded dancers.

Ballet Classes

Emphasizes proper classical technique, terminology, correct body alignment, poise and presentation. Teachers use the American Ballet Theater National Training Curriculum, which incorporates elements from major training styles including Cecchetti, Vagonava, and French schools, to ensure that all of our students progress to the best of their ability. Level IV, V, VI, VII: Pointe classes are available to advanced students with the director's recommendation. Study is more intense at this level with classes meeting five or six days per week. We offer a complete and comprehensive training program for the pre-professional dancer. The emphasis is on correct posture, placement, coordination, dance quality and musicality, combined with a firm technique within the limits of each person's own development.
