Drill Team, also called dance squads, create routines based on precision dance movements and perform dance routines in unison. The dancers have a routine set to music, whether to recorded music or the live music of a marching band. Drill teams also compete against other teams at competitions.

Tap dance is characterized by the metal taps on the heel and toe of the shoes. The sound of the taps striking the floor form a percussion, and is coupled with both characteristic and interpretative body movements.

Contemporary dance is an expressive dance style that implores the Dancer to connect the mind and the body through fluid movements. It brings together the best of several dance genres: Modern, Lyrical, and Ballet.

Acrobatic dance is defined by its athletic character, unique choreography, and seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics. Ultimately, it’s a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements.

Ballet is carefully choreographed movements that tell a story or express an idea. It’s an art form of theatrical performance that can be magical, exciting, provoking, or disturbing.

Lyrical dance is a dance style that blends elements of Ballet and Jazz dance. Lyrical dance is primarily a little more fluid than ballet, but not as swiftly executed as Jazz.

Hip Hop dance is an exciting and creative style of street dance that combines freestyle movements to create an inspirational piece of art. Popping, locking, and breaking are three main styles of hip-hop dance that has evolved into one of the most influential styles and popular forms of dance.
