Our Kuchipudi program offers a comprehensive and enriching experience designed to introduce students to the beautiful world of this classical Indian dance form. We focus on foundational elements including hand gestures (mudras), footwork, body postures, and expressions, alongside developing a strong sense of rhythm and understanding rhythmic patterns (tala). We delve into intricate facial expressions (abhinaya) for conveying emotions and storytelling, and students learn to embody various characters. Students will also learn and practice traditional Kuchipudi compositions and choreographies, exploring different styles and narratives, and are encouraged to engage in choreographing their sequences. Performance opportunities are provided through recitals and shows to foster confidence and stage presence. The curriculum is structured for gradual learning from beginner to advanced levels with individual attention and personalized feedback.
