About Encore Dance Arts

Encore Dance Arts, located in Orange, Texas, is a vibrant studio dedicated to fostering a lifelong passion for dance in students of all ages and skill levels. We offer a diverse curriculum encompassing Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Acrobatics, and Zumba, ensuring a wide range of movement arts are explored. Our commitment to quality instruction is delivered by a talented faculty, including Owner/Director Jill Yeaman, Assistant Director Jaycie Smith, and instructors Mia Woodruff, Kennedy Hiltz, Gabbie LeBlanc, Christina Neal, Annalise Briggs, Harley Duhon, and Rayleigh Elkins. Kristen VanDerdoes-Rice specializes as our Tumbling Instructor. Jill Yeaman brings extensive experience, having danced since age two and holding a degree in dance from Texas State University, with expertise in teaching, choreography, and directing competitive dance teams. Jaycie Smith, a Lamar University dance major with experience in university and high school drill teams, also contributes significantly. Mia Woodruff and Kennedy Hiltz further enrich our team with their collegiate dance and competitive circuit backgrounds. Encore Dance Arts emphasizes nurturing young dancers, building self-esteem, teamwork, and goal-setting, while providing valuable stage performance experience. We are proud to be a Studio Affiliate Member with The Association of Dance Conventions & Competitions (The ADCC). Through programs like our 'Recital' and 'Company' (including the 'Encore Dance Project'), we cultivate a strong sense of community and offer dedicated performance opportunities.

Classes

ballet class

All members are required to take Company classes and an additional ballet class.

Company classes

All members are required to take Company classes and an additional ballet class. Members are to wear all black dance attire to company rehearsal. Company rehearsals are mandatory.

Tumbling All ages

Any style/color leotard or dance sports bra and dance shorts, No T-Shirts or Tank Tops, No shoes. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Lyrical Grades 2nd-12th

Any style/color leotard or dance sports bra and dance shorts, Pirouette shoes. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Pointe Grades 6th-12th

Leotard, Pink Tights, Pointe Shoes. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Hip Hop: Beginner-Intermediate-Junior- Senior

Any shorts or sweatpants with tight fitted top, Any Tennis Shoe. By December 1st you will be contacted with the shoes you will need to order for recital. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Boppin' Babies

Any style/color leotard or tight fitted athletic wear. No shoes. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Jazz: Beginner-Intermediate-Junior- Senior Grades K-12

Any style/color leotard or dance sports bra and dance shorts, Tan Jazz Shoe. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Tap: Junior- Senior Grades 6th-12th

Any style/color leotard or dance sports bra and dance shorts, Black Lace Up Tap Shoes. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Tap: Beginner- Intermediate Grades K- 5th

Any style/color leotard or dance sports bra and dance shorts or, Tan Buckle Tap Shoes. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Baby Tap Ages 4-5

Same leotard from ballet, dance shorts, tan tap Shoes. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Ballet: Intermediate-Junior- Senior Grades 3rd-12th

Any style/color leotard, Pink Tights, Pink CANVAS Ballet Shoes. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Ballet: Beginner Grades K-2nd

Any style/color leotard, Pink Tights, Pink LEATHER Ballet Shoes. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Baby Ballet Ages 2-5

Leotard with attached skirt (we will order at Registration), White Fold Down Socks, Pink Leather Ballet Shoe. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.

Company: I-II-III

All black dance attire, Proper Shoes. All hair must be pulled back out of face and properly secured for each class.
