Bringing the Nutcracker to Arlington since 2021! Join Us for Our Annual Nutcracker Ballet Presented at the Dr. Cavazos Centre for Visual and Performing Arts Celebrate the holiday season with the magic and tradition of The Nutcracker Ballet.

Our competitive teams consist of talented young dancers ranging from ages 4 through 12th grade. These teams participate in dance competitions at both regional and national levels. Prospective members must exhibit strong dance skills, excellent stage presence, and a positive demeanor to earn an invitation to join our team.

UPAC offers private lessons to all ages and abilities. We feel that private lessons help each dancer build confidence with building the technical skills they need to achieve their goals.

The leveled tap program is for intermediate to advanced level dancers. Students will build upon previously learned tap skills along with incorporating new and more stylized steps. Tap requires quick footwork, outstanding balance, and impeccable rhythm. Students in our leveled tap program will be challenged with innovative choreography and combinations.

Jazz is a popular class concept that infuses the funky style of hip hop with the technical side of jazz. Students will learn the fundamentals of each style such as isolations and flexibility. This class will encourage students to dance outside of the box and bring their own personality to each movement. We pride ourselves on being a family oriented dance studio and go out of our way to find clean age-appropriate music.

Hip Hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

Exploring partnering and weight sharing exercises combined with basic techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. It emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics while telling a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract.

Our age-based Ballet/Tap classes are a fun introduction to the basic fundamentals of dance. United recognizes the importance of teaching proper vocabulary and technique from the start of a dance education. We use uplifting music, exciting props, and positive reinforcement to introduce our young students to the world of dance. The ballet portion of the class will teach students proper stretching technique, and introduce them to beginning ballet steps and choreography. The tap portion of the class uses the Al Gilbert methodology. Tap uses specialized shoes to make rhythmic sounds requiring quick footwork, outstanding balance, and impeccable rhythm. Students will progress through the leveled curriculum and learn fun tap combinations and routines.

We provide classes catering to students ages 18 months to adults and accommodating all skill levels.

We offer ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, preschool combo classes, fitness classes and private lessons to all ages and abilities (ages 18 months - adult).

A sensory-friendly performance with house lights kept on and music volume lowered. Ideal for younger audiences and individuals with sensory sensitivities.
