Welcome to Forerunners for the Arts, a vibrant training facility located in Watauga, Texas, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of performers and artists. Founded by professional dancer and educator Destiny Wisniski, Forerunners fosters transformation within the entertainment industry by empowering students to steward their talents and express their gifts. Destiny's extensive background, including training at Russian Ballet Orlando and performing with Ingredients Dance Company, shapes a curriculum that emphasizes technical excellence alongside spiritual and emotional well-being. Forerunners offers a comprehensive dance education for ages two through adults, with specialized programs designed for every stage of a dancer's journey. The Preschool Program builds gross motor coordination and musicality, the Children's Program introduces technique basics, and the Adult Program focuses on foundational skills and vocabulary. Older students benefit from a structured Level Program, with opportunities for company auditions. The studio provides diverse dance class offerings, including Hip Hop, and boasts a talented faculty of experienced instructors such as Andrea Evans, Christa Beacham, Elliana Simmons, Ann Marie Heilman, Anna Evans, and Elana Reitz, with Mia-Klair Michel and Addy Avestruz serving as Company Directors. Beyond dance, Forerunners enriches performers aged 7-15 and adults with dynamic Acting classes exploring musical theater, improvisation, and scene work, alongside creative Art classes in painting and imagination.
