About Classical Youth Ballet

Classical Youth Ballet, nestled in Brigham City, Utah, is dedicated to nurturing young dancers in the timeless art of classical ballet. Founded in September 2007, the studio, with a legacy spanning over 30 years, emphasizes professionalism, imagination, creativity, and discipline. Ms. Michelle, an ABT® Certified Teacher with extensive training in Cecchetti and Vaganova methods, also holds certifications in injury prevention and early childhood dance. She guides a curriculum meticulously crafted to ensure dancers develop strong technical skills while cultivating their individual creativity and passion, integrating scientific principles with classical ballet schools for correct body usage and artistic development. Office Manager Miss Tylee, a former student, shares this passion, fostering a safe and inspiring environment for every student. The studio offers a comprehensive ballet program structured across Early Childhood (ages 3-7), Elementary (ages 8-12), and Intermediate (ages 13+) levels, with plans for an Advanced Program. Early childhood classes focus on holistic development, while elementary and intermediate levels build foundational technique and terminology, with opportunities for Pre-Pointe and Pointe work for dancers aged 12 and above, prioritizing safety. Classical Youth Ballet also provides flexible engagement through Open Division Classes like 'Beg. Ballet Classique' for ages 13+ and an 'Alumni Class' for former students and adult dancers. Private lessons with Ms. Michelle are available for personalized attention. The studio aims to foster confident, expressive artists, strengthening body, determination, work ethic, and self-confidence. Classical Youth Ballet plans to return to Brigham City in September 2025, continuing its legacy of 'Finding Balance for Life through classical ballet.'

Those who have achieved proper technique may qualify to participate in our Pre-Pointe (must be at least 10 years old) and Pointe Programs (must be at least 12 years old). Pointe work: Students may begin pointe work only at the invitation of their teacher. Dancing on pointe requires strong technique, muscle control, mental readiness and maturity to avoid injury.
