Cheerleading

Cheerleading is a fun way to get involved in school activities. This is the perfect class to prepare to become a cheerleader at your school. We will work on Jumps, Stunts, Tumbling, Flexibility, and Dance. This is not a competitive class. We do perform at the recital at the end of the year, but our goal is to prepare you to become a cheerleader for the junior high or high school you will be attending.

advanced Acro

Intermediate and advanced acrobatics students ages 13 and up work together on more complex skills to prepare for drill team, cheer, and competitive dance teams. Students will work together to gain confidence in their tumbling including aerials, walkovers, and handsprings, as well as flexibility, strength, balance, and limbering, to become a well-rounded acrobatic performer.

Intermediate Acrobatic arts

Intermediate acrobatics builds on the foundational skills learned in levels 1 and 2. Students follow the same framework laid out in the five dimensions of acrobatics and begin working on complicated walkovers, hand balances, limbering, and tumbling skills.

Beginner Acrobatic arts

There are 5 areas of Acrobatic Arts: Flexibility, strength, balancing limbering, and tumbling. This program builds a foundation of these five elements. Simple thoughtful progressions take the beginner preschool-level dancer from log rolls and summersaults to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage!

Celtic Fusion Dance Troupe

This class teaches more complex choreography to expand on techniques taught in the other two performance troupes. This group moves a lot quicker and requires a higher skill level and is faster paced. These dancers will be learning more complex rhythm, strength, and flexibility. Traditional and contemporary choreography is mixed to create their pieces.

Celtic Journey Dance Troupe

This troupe continues to master new techniques and control of soft shoe including traditional and contemporary Irish dance movement. They will learn performance numbers, create their own choreography and prepare for events as we get more opportnity.

Celtic Ember Dance Troupe

This is our beginning Performance troupe. This is an entry level class is for anyone interested in learning to perform. We will introduce arms and contemporary Irish dance moves as well as building on traditional dances. All dancers are welcome to tryout/join throughout the year.

Performance Irish Dance

Irish Dance Performance track is for those who love to perform. We do festivals, libraries community events, weddings, cultural events, recitals parades and siamsa (irish for party)! If you love the creative contemporary side of Irish dance this is for you!

Teams class

The teams class is a competitive class for teams at local, regional, national, and world competitions. We will learn the traditional Ceili dances for competition in this class. We usually compete 4 hands or 8-hand teams. We will have tryouts in the early spring for the next years teams.

Competitive Irish Dance

The competitive Irish dance track is for dancers who want to compete under the CLRG in solo and team competitions. This includes local and major competitions.

Cheerleading

This class will learn jumps, stunting, tumbling cheers, and dancing. They will prepare for cheer tryouts and learn how to become a cheerleader.

Teen Acro

This class is for students who are focusing on getting the skills needed for high school and competition teams. it focuses on aerials, front aerials, back handsprings, tucks, and specialty tricks. To do this we concentrate on all 5 Acro categories.

Intermediate Acro

This class is level 4 and above. They learn to build further on their basic skills to complete more challenging skills like, back handsprings, aerials, and tucks. Balancing strength and flexibility skills are also a focus in this class.

Beginner Acro

This class is level 1-3. They are learning basic skills and building strength, flexibility, balance, and basic tumbling skills like cartwheels, forward rolls, bridges, and handstands. We focus on all acro areas.

Adults

They will learn 4 light shoe dances and 3 hard shoe dances. It will focus on strengthening and flexibility as well as just a fun way to get good exercise and have fun with other adults. We will also learn some Ceili dances as well. It is a great way to stay fit and have fun with friends who also love to dance.

Champs

This class will learn a light shoe dance, a hard shoe dance, and a set dance. These dances are longer and more complex. They will be more challenging and full of more complicated rhythms and steps. They will also have 1 hour of Ceili class.

1.5 hours twice a week plus 1 hour of Ceili Class.
Novice/Prizewinner

This class will be taught more complex light-shoe dances and rhythms. They will have 4 light shoe dances and three hard shoe dances. These dances will be more complex in rhythm, strength, and flexibility. They will spend the last 15 min. of class conditioning and stretching. These dancers will participate in the teams class.

1.5 hours twice a week plus 1 hour of Ceili Class.
Beginner II Irish

This class focuses more on hard shoe dances and continues to master the technique and control of soft shoe dances. They will learn 3 hard shoe dances and 4 light shoe dances. Once they master specific skills in this class they will be invited to the teams class. Ceili class is 1 hour.

Beginner I Irish

This class is a basic dance movement class. They will learn all their 4 light shoe dances and continue to learn hard shoe techniques. Once they have mastered all of their light shoe dances they will be ready for beginner II level.

Shinning Shamrocks

Children will learn basic Irish dance steps dances. They will also learn to take turns, be considerate of others, and learn to listen to instructions. They will learn two basic light shoe dances and how to make sounds with tap shoes.
