Acro classes teach basic tumbling and acro skills. Students also work on strength and flexibility training. Acro classes will be taught all year.

In this weekly, hour and a half class, students will develop a strong supporting leg, start to use rotation, learn proper alignment, and learn more advanced rhythmic coordination work. The one-hour ballet portion of class consists of a warm-up, center barre work, center combinations, across the floor and ends with a creative movement activity and reverence (ballet bow/curtsy). During the half-hour tap portion, students will learn a large vocabulary of steps, and begin putting combinations of steps together with correct technical execution and rhythm mastery.

In these weekly classes students study singing technique, stage acting, dance fundamentals, and performing. Solo and ensemble work are performed at their very own year-end Musical Theatre show.

Musical Theater tuition will be $40 a month for students enrolled in a dance class or company. If they wish to enroll in musical theater and a dance class, tuition for musical theater is an additional $40.

Tuition is based on a monthly fee and not a per class basis. Payment is the same no matter how many times your child attends class. The monthly tuition fee guarantees a minimum of 36 weeks of instruction for the dance year. If class has to be canceled due to bad weather or teacher illness, you will be notified and a makeup class scheduled. I ask that you only sign up for dance if you are committed to finishing through the June recital.

If you are interested in enrolling in a company class mid-year, please call the office to schedule a placement class. Company students need to enroll in each company class.

If You are registering midseason, you can register for any open classes that have space available throughout the year. Most of our classes fill up before school starts. Registering early is recommended.

A Salem student enrolling in the kindergarten class would enroll in season titled Salem Open Classes 2020-21. Company students need to enroll in each company class. Enrollment includes registration and costume fees.

Herriman Company students will enroll in season titled Herriman Company 2025-26. This section also mentions a registration and costume fee that must be paid within 24 hours or your registration will be dropped.

At Lifehouse we care about each child that walks through the doors. We work diligently to foster each child’s physical, mental and emotional growth, in a fun and creative environment. This program follows the Leap ‘N Learn progressive dance curriculum tailored to the growing child.

Dance Acro Classes will be held on Friday afternoons. Class schedule and skill level requirements can be found at the end of this registration letter.

Prerequisites: - Going into a backbend from standing and coming back up - one-arm cartwheel, roundoff, handstand to bridge - Bridge into a kick over Working on: back walkovers, front walkovers, aerial, more advanced variations of headstands, advanced balance postures from a handstand

Acro class focusing on cartwheels, handstands, bridges, and forward/backward rolls with no prerequisites.

Level 1: No Prerequisite Skills learned: cartwheels, handstands, bridges, forward and backward rolls

Prerequisites: - Cartwheel with straight legs, and performed in a straight line - bridge with straight legs and getting armpits over wrists from the floor - Kicking to a vertical handstand with straight legs Skills learned: one-arm cartwheels, roundoff, back bend and coming back up from standing, handstand to bridge, dive rolls, shoulder rolls (fish flops), bridge kick over, headstands

Acro class building on Level 1 skills, including one-arm cartwheels, roundoffs, backbends, and handstand to bridge. Prerequisites apply.

Level 2: Prerequisites: - Cartwheel with straight legs, and performed in a straight line - bridge with straight legs and getting armpits over wrists from the floor - Kicking to a vertical handstand with straight legs Skills learned: one-arm cartwheels, roundoff, back bend and coming back up from standing, handstand to bridge, dive rolls, shoulder rolls (fish flops), bridge kick over, headstands

Advanced acro class covering back/front walkovers, aerials, and more complex maneuvers. Prerequisites required.

An intermediate ballet class for dancers aged 9-11, focusing on refining technique and musicality.

These one hour, and 75 minute once a week classes are open enrollment. We offer jazz and ballet where technique and artistry is taught in each genre. Intermediate open ballet and jazz classes are for students who have had at least one full year of formal ballet or jazz training.

An intermediate jazz class for dancers aged 9-11, developing more complex jazz movements and performance skills.

These one hour, and 75 minute once a week classes are open enrollment. We offer jazz and ballet where technique and artistry is taught in each genre. Intermediate open ballet and jazz classes are for students who have had at least one full year of formal ballet or jazz training.

Ballet and Tap Combo Classes for students aged 5-8 years old. Classes are separated by age group: 5-6 year olds and 7-8 year olds.
