Workshops

Poler-skating (Roller Pole)

What do you get when you combine roller skates and pole dancing? A unique dance style focused on making beautiful circles around thepole and having a lot of fun! Usually performed with a spinning pole, poler-skating (or roller pole) focuses on making stylistic flowing rotations around the pole. This workshop will touch on the basics of skate form and safety, with some skate footwork thrown in. Then we will build up the fundamentals of roller pole to make beautiful moves! One benefit of combining these two fun disciplines is the assistance they provide each other; if you’re new on wheels, you have a pole to hold onto while you learn your balance. If you are still gaining upper body strength, the roll of the skates lets you accomplish the beautiful flowing motions iconic to pole dancing. The best of both worlds!
