This is an advanced class designed for those who have mastered the basics and are ready to take their technique to the next level. What You’ll Need: Acceptance – Dancers must be accepted into this class after meeting specific requirements. Additional Ballet Training – You’ll need to take extra ballet classes to prepare for pointe. Pre-Pointe Class – Required prior to registration for those just beginning pointe (offered for ages 9-12). Pointe Shoes – Dancers must purchase pointe shoes and train their feet and ankles for proper technique. Age Requirement: Dancers must be 12 years old to begin pointe training. This class is a commitment to strength, precision, and artistry—get ready to rise to new heights in ballet! ??

Our Movement Competition Teams are designed for dedicated dancers ready to push their skills to the next level! These teams train extensively in: Ballet Jazz Hip Hop Contemporary / Lyrical Technique Tumbling By audition only , these teams require a serious commitment to year-round training —a passion for the art and the drive to succeed! Dancers practice 6 hours weekly , perfecting their craft in a supportive, focused environment. What You’ll Experience: 3-4 Competitions – Show off your skills and compete with the best! Special Performances – Perform at exciting events and showcases! 2 Annual Recitals – Be part of our major recital performances! Production, Team Hip Hop, and Group solos are ALL AUDITION ONLY Competition Classes . MDC auditions are held annually in May.

Lyrical is a beautiful expressive style of dance set to slower contemporary music. This style uses ballet technique to tell stories thru movement while showcasing technique and the art of dance. What You’ll Learn: Movement Skills – Master the art of improv and body awareness! Performance Skills – Bring a story to life on stage and expression to every routine! Lyrical dance techniques – Train in the beautiful skills of a contemporary or lyrical performer. Lyrical class will perform on stage at both recitals.
