Southside Ballet Studio, located in Smithfield, Virginia, is a vibrant center for dance education, fostering a lifelong love for movement and artistic expression across all ages. Our comprehensive curriculum builds a strong foundation in classical ballet technique and artistry, while also offering a diverse range of styles to nurture the artistic growth of every student. Dancers can explore the expressive qualities of Jazz and Lyrical, blending classical technique with contemporary flair. Our Acrobatic Arts classes focus on building strength, flexibility, and tumbling skills, and Contemporary dance challenges students to connect emotionally through movement. We also offer the rhythmic energy of Tap for our youngest learners. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming and encouraging environment where dancers can explore their potential, build confidence, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts. Southside Ballet Studio invites young dancers to explore their passion during our exciting 2026 Summer Dance Camps, week-long programs designed for ages 3-11. These camps run Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 12 pm, with classes thoughtfully divided by age. This summer's lineup includes a "K-Pop Music Stars" camp from July 6-9, encouraging young enthusiasts to dive into the vibrant world of K-Pop.
