Nestled in Oak Harbor, Washington, The Ballet Slipper Conservatory (TBSC) is a distinguished non-profit ballet performance company dedicated to enriching the local community through classical ballet. Under the artistic direction of Ballet Mistress Diane Geragotelis, affectionately known as 'Miss Diane,' TBSC champions accessibility and fosters widespread engagement with the arts. The conservatory offers public classical ballet performances and educational outreach through lecture demonstrations. Annually, TBSC presents two large-scale, family-oriented classical ballet productions designed to introduce ballet to a broad audience, alongside numerous smaller ballet demonstrations at community locations including senior centers and schools. Miss Diane meticulously crafts each production, dedicating significant time to selecting music, choreographing all dances, designing and sewing costumes, and instructing students. A core value of the conservatory is ensuring the performing arts are available to everyone, regardless of background or income, by eliminating performer fees and costume costs, allowing dancers of all ages and levels to showcase their passion for the love of ballet.
