About Pacific West Performing Arts

Pacific West Performing Arts, located in Snohomish, Washington, has been a vibrant hub for dance education since its founding in 2004 by Kelly Charlton. Now under the ownership of Ian Howe and Co-Owner Sydney Arango, the studio is dedicated to fostering a passion for movement in dancers of all ages and abilities. With five beautiful studios featuring sprung floors, Pacific West Performing Arts offers a comprehensive curriculum spanning a wide variety of dance genres, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Musical Theater, Contemporary, Ballroom, and K-Pop. Experienced instructors such as Kim Barth, Liz Barth, Tylyn Acoba, Jennifer Blair, Lisa Buettner, Lovetta Downes, Marika Cohen, Kristen Hoffman, Anneka Parr, Molly Pishue, Tricia Zuskind Daniels, and Kirsten Haug-Schildmeyer (for Acro) bring a wealth of expertise. Guest faculty, including Amanda Allworth for Belly Dance, further enrich the program. The studio nurtures young talent through its Twinkles Dance Program (ages 3-7) and fosters leadership with its Teaching Assistant Program (ages 11+). Advanced dancers can showcase their talents with the dedicated Competition Team for the 2025/26 season. Pacific West Performing Arts emphasizes a fun, structured learning environment with age-appropriate music and movement, supported by excellent student-to-teacher ratios and highly organized recitals, alongside opportunities for performance and holistic performing arts education, including collaborations with Elevate Music Together.
