About Sandra's Studio of Dance

Sandra's Studio of Dance, located in Spokane, Washington, has been a cornerstone of dance education since its founding in 1988 by Sandra Stejer Olgard. Now under the leadership of co-owner Ann Eldore and former student Stephanie Getman Gronholz, the studio offers a nurturing environment for dancers of all ages, from toddlers to adults. With a strong philosophy centered on building a robust classical ballet foundation inspired by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), the studio equips students with essential techniques for various dance forms. Founder Sandra Olgard brings extensive professional experience from Las Vegas and Paris, guiding a team of passionate instructors including ballet teachers Ann Eldore and Stephanie Getman Gronholz, Angie Brown (Tap), and Caroline Zoretic (Contemporary). Curriculum encompasses Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Flamenco, and Ballroom dance. Dedicated programs include 'Tiny Toes' for toddlers and specialized barre classes for adults, alongside flexible 6- and 8-week sessions for specific classes. Students benefit from a structured approach and a non-competitive culture, fostering self-discipline, creativity, confidence, and a love for movement. Opportunities to showcase progress include an annual May recital at prestigious venues and globally recognized RAD exams. The studio prioritizes body positivity, physical well-being, and emotional health, developing well-rounded individuals and accomplished dancers. Registration for the 2025-2026 dance year is open, with classes running September 8, 2025, to May 18, 2026.
