Private lessons provide an individualized experiences for each student as they journey through their growth in music, voice, acting, and dance. With a private instructor, beginners and advanced students alike have the chance to set and achieve personal goals with a teacher that is just right for your level and style.

Designed to teach students coordination, flexibility, balance, and rhythm, Melody Lane Academy Drill Team empowers students to improve their skills and audition for school cheer tryouts. This fun group is all about encouraging team spirit, energetic attitudes, and friendship. Students will work on kick techniques and working with the team on cohesive dance moves.

Joining together old and new urban styles, hip-hop dance lessons at Melody Lane let your child experience the beat and rhythm of hip-hop music through coordinated dance experiences. At Melody Lane we encourage improvisation from our students but also teach students to grow in their flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Modern/Contemporary dance is known for the way it allows dancers to express their emotions through movement, bringing a greater sense of freedom and ease to dance. Combining the styles of ballet, modern, and jazz, your child is sure to enjoy the inspired practice of Modern/Contemporary dance. At the end of the spring season, each class performs a choreographed routine in a year end showcase.

Combining the musicality, rhythm, and creativity of All-American jazz with the coordination of tap, Jazz + Tap classes are full of energy and fun. At Melody Lane we teach classical jazz, Broadway, and Latin styles. Your child will learn jazz techniques like leaps, runs, and jumps. Show your personality through jazz + tap!

Ballet is not only a great outlet for your child’s energy but also a powerful mode of self-expression that improves poise and strength alike. Ballet classes at Melody Lane start at the Beginning Level, with numerous advanced levels including Pointe. Our caring staff will help your child grow in their dance abilities, grow their confidence and discipline while developing in a community of like-minded dancers.

Melody Lane Pathway Dance Programs include; Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, & Cheer! Dancers ages 7+ will be placed in a level appropriate to their skill level and age. Many of these classes are paired in blocks, allowing dancers to attend classes multiple hours a night! Melody Lane Pathway Dancers are also invited to audition for the Melody Lane Dancers Company. This performing group features our most dedicated dancers. MLA Dancers Company travels throughout the community and beyond to perform 30 minute shows fall, winter, and spring.

Performers learn how to move safely through tumbling, and explore freedom in movement.

High Energy classes centered around rhythmic movement. Always age-appropriate costumes, choreography, and music.

Performers learn the foundational concepts of tap dancing including rhythm, balance, and musicality.

Dance Explorers classes are grouped by age/skill. These Creative Movement classes teach the foundations of movement in ballet. Performers develop critical skills like: Classroom Etiquette, Social Skills, Gross Motor Skills, Physical Literacy. Classes are coupled with a Secondary Genre of your choice, listed below! There are 3 levels of Creative Movement, performers generally spend 2 years in one level depending on individual needs and progress.

Adult and tot style music and movement classes! This 25 minute caregiver and tot style class is the perfect introduction to creative movement and music. This experience is curated to engage toddlers in social interaction, introduce them to the classroom setting, and focus on developing critical gross motor skills. All while having a great time!

From ballet and hip-hop to lyrical, jazz, and tap, Melody Lane offers dance lessons in a number of styles Monday through Saturday, year-round. Many of the students in our regular group lessons take private lessons during the summer to improve technique and stay focused. Private lessons are also a great option for beginners who want to advance to a higher level to join their peers. With private dance lessons, you’ll build confidence and work towards personal goals.
