Milwaukee Ballet presents its adapted performance of The Nutcracker for children, families and individuals with autism or other sensory processing needs.

Our award-winning Tour de Force program provides adaptive classes and training for young dancers with disabilities.

Students will explore ballet, along with some of the jobs that make a dance performance happen. From choreographers to costumes, lighting, and music, it takes a lot of people to help dancers put on successful performance. Join us as we experiment with what you could do, both on-stage and backstage, to bring a show to life. Grades 1 through Adult

Tour the new Baumgartner Center for Dance…you might get to see dancers in rehearsal, visit the costume shop and even try some moves of your own. Grades 1 through Adult. Groups larger than 30 will require multiple tours.

Flex those muscles through exercises focused on flexibility, balance, strength, coordination, agility and speed. Learn that a dancer’s job is just as demanding as a professional athlete’s — and it’s tougher than it looks! Grades 1 through Adult.

Join Milwaukee Ballet dancers for a special story time that brings the magic of dance to life through books. As the story unfolds, dancers will introduce basic ballet positions and steps, celebrating the music and movement that make ballet so special. Children are welcome to wear their favorite ballet costume and take part in this fun and interactive experience. Recommended for ages 0-elementary.

Pas de deux or Men’s class offered as enrollment allows, part of the daily schedule for the Pre-Professional Program.

Intermediate students may enroll in our single week, pre-pointe Junior Intensive program to expand their summer ballet training with jazz, dance history, nutrition and injury prevention, and more.

The emphasis becomes one of artistic value. Students are challenged 4-6 days weekly with added classes in variations, modern, hip hop, and more.

Students continue to build their repertoire of ballet skills. Pointe work is introduced, alongside character dance and jazz.

Students in the Beginning Division build upon the fundamentals of dance learned in Children's Division. The core skills of classical ballet are established, preparing students for upper levels of study.

Students begin to assimilate to studio environment. An appreciation and enjoyment of movement is nurtured, with focus on rhythm, basic music counting, and body and spatial awareness.

Family and friends are welcome to join us for the Winter Showcase featuring students of the Academy Division for the 2025/26 School Year. Held at Baumgartner Center for Dance on Saturday, January 24, students will display their talents in a wide variety of styles from classical ballet and modern to jazz and jazz funk.

The Intermediate 3-Week Intensive is designed for serious students aged 11-14 seeking to enhance their dance abilities over a concentrated period.

The Pre-Professional 5-Week Intensive is for serious students age 11-22 who are looking to further develop their dance skills in a rigorous program.

Take the next step towards a professional career by training with Milwaukee Ballet for three or six weeks. Summer Intensive is a concentrated, comprehensive program for serious dancers aged 11-22 who have attained an intermediate to advance level of ballet technique.

Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy offers a robust Pre-Professional Program that educates, trains and prepares students for a career in professional dance. Intended for recent high school graduates as a post-secondary certificate program or current high school students that display potential for a professional career in dance, the program offers daily intensive training led by senior faculty member and Head of Training for Academy and Pre-Professional Divisions Tatiana Jouravel-Malinkine.

Our year-round school workshops and story times bring the joy of ballet to children in Southeastern Wisconsin.

During our weeklong free dance camps, Milwaukee students experience ballet and many styles of dance.
