Classes

Jazz / Hip Hop

Students will learn isolation, rhythm, control, intricacy, and fluidity in their movements. Students will learn to hear beats and move in ways that will benefit all forms of dance. Students will learn the various sub-styles that make up hip hop dance, including popping, waving, tutting, jerk, house, lyrical hip hop, break dance, freestyle, and many others. Through class, students will find their sense of movement, add their personal style, and even learn how to choreograph their own pieces.

Pre Pointe / Pointe 12+ years old

This class teaches the classical presentation of ballet. This is a advanced training class with high degrees of difficulty and injury risk. We require our dancers to be 100% committed to learning technique and body placement. Enrollment requirements include: Dancers 12+ years old with previous ballet training. Ability to demonstrate the necessary ankle and core strength to instructors approval. Enrollment in one additional ballet classes and/or skills classes. Dancers must have Pointe shoes at every class.

Tap 9-11

This class is for dancers the ages of 8-11. This class will progressively continue to teach tap terminology and technique. Within this entertaining environment, dancers will develop a routine to be performed at the annual recital. Class Focus: Confidence, Beginner/Intermediate Tap Skills, Team Building, Retaining Choreography and Terminology.

Tap 5-6 and 7-8

This 30 minute tap class is for dancers the ages of 5-7. This fun filled class will teach beginner movements and rhythms along with terminology and technique. These dancers will learn a routine to be performed in our annual recitals. Class Focus: Confidence, Beginner Skills, Working Well with Others, Retaining Choreography, Understanding Terminology.

Middle / High School Ballet

This 45 minute class is for dancers ages of 12-18. MS/HS Ballet will continue to teach ballet terminology and technique in a relaxed comfortable environment. Over the course of the class dancers will build toward a routine to be performed at all four recitals in the annual recital. Class Focus: Confidence, Intermediate/Advanced skills, Team Building, Accepting themselves, Retaining Choreography and Understanding Terminology.

Ballet 9-11

This class is a 30 minute ballet class and is for older elementary students - ages 8-11. This class progressively continues to teach ballet terminology and technique in a relaxed and comfortable environment. These dancers will learn a routine to be performed once on Saturday and Sunday at the annual recital. Class Focus: Confidence, Beginner/Intermediate Skills, Team Building, and Retaining Choreography and Technique.

Ballet 5-6 and 7-8

This 30 minute ballet class is for dancers the ages of 5-7. In this fun fill class, students will learn technique, terminology and the performance aspect of art of ballet. Dancers learn a routine set at an age-appropriate music to be performed once on Saturday and Sunday at the annual recital. Class Focus: Confidence, Beginner Skills, Listening, and Retaining Choreography and Technique.

Pre-Ballet

This class is a 30 minute class and is for NEW/Youngest students. Pre-Ballet teaches the basics of ballet along with creative fun. It is a feel good class with no worries. Dancers will be expected to be potty trained and be able to communicate, listen and follow directions. This fun and exciting class will introduce young dancers to the beginning steps of Ballet, while focusing on having fun while moving and developing performance skills. Dancers will learn a routines set to age-appropriate music to be performed at the annual recital. Class Focus: Confidence, Fine Motor Skills, Listening and Retention of choreography and technique.

Ballet, Tap, Jazz
