About Bodylines Dance Theatre

Bodylines Dance Theatre, a distinguished non-profit organization nestled in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is dedicated to fostering artistic and technical prowess in dance for individuals of all ages and abilities. Founded by Leslie O’Hashi, a recipient of the 2017 Wyoming Governor’s Arts Award and a professional dancer with extensive performance credits including with Colorado Ballet and David Taylor Dance Theatre, the studio cultivates artistic expression and technical skill. Our rich curriculum encompasses Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Contemporary styles. Instructors such as Alison O’Hashi, holding a Master of Dance Education degree and teaching advanced Modern, Kinsale Day, who dances in Ballet and Pointe, and Taylor Poynter, an instructor and choreographer, bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to their classes. Bodylines Dance Theatre emphasizes cultivating strong, confident individuals through dance performance, presenting two annual performances. The studio is also home to the unique Ruby's BDT Adaptive Dance & Movement classes, fostering inclusivity and accessibility for children with physical and developmental disabilities, guided by dedicated assistants like Lee Ann Lucas and supported by volunteers such as Nancy Scribner. The Bodylines Dance Theatre Performing Group further extends their artistic reach through community service and their own seasonal shows, offering dancers valuable stage experience. The structured Ballet Program guides students from beginner to advanced levels, building emotional and physical confidence for life's endeavors.
