Ballet Tucson, located in Tucson, Arizona, is the official school of Southern Arizona’s premier professional ballet company, offering exceptional dance training for students of all ages since 1986. Dedicated to cultivating a deep appreciation for dance and fostering self-expression, the studio provides high-caliber instruction from accomplished faculty, including renowned instructors such as Chieko Imada, Margaret Mullin, Brik Middlekauff, Danielle Cesanek, Sarah Wilkerson, Duncan Barlow, Naomi de Jesus, Madeleine Kuebler, Edward Oyarce-Solomon, Francesca Poznanski, Whitney Hester, and Lauren Vogel. These instructors, many of whom are company dancers and artistic leaders with extensive national and international experience, guide students in developing technique, artistry, and creativity within an encouraging environment. Ballet Tucson offers a comprehensive curriculum encompassing Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Hip Hop, building a strong foundation in ballet technique. Students benefit from unique performance opportunities, including showcasing their growth in productions like The Nutcracker (in collaboration with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra), The Phantom of the Opera, Spring Showcase, and Ballet in Bloom. The studio also provides a Summer Workshop program for children and adults, and complimentary masterclasses led by renowned guest teachers for intermediate and advanced students. Graduates are eligible for company apprenticeships and receive career guidance, with alumni pursuing professional careers or further studies at prestigious institutions.
