Shuffles & Ballet II, nestled in Little Rock, Arkansas, has been a cornerstone of the central Arkansas dance community since its founding in 1986. With over 8,000 square feet of dedicated dance space across five spacious studios, the facility provides a nurturing and professional environment for dancers of all ages and levels. Led by owner and director Jana L. Beard for over 37 years, the studio boasts an award-winning faculty dedicated to technical and stylistic expertise. Instructors include Allison Stodola Wilson, with professional Broadway and Radio City Christmas Spectacular experience, and Hope Wenneker, a University of Oklahoma alumna passionate about Modern Dance Performance. Leslie Dodge and Lauren McCarty Horak, Pre-Professional Ballet and Modern Instructors, bring extensive professional performance backgrounds, while Micah Newell, Jazz and Hip Hop Instructor, exemplifies fostered local talent. Shuffles & Ballet II offers a comprehensive curriculum featuring Ballet, Modern Dance, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Musical Theater, and Ballroom instruction. Young dancers benefit from dedicated programs and engaging combo classes for ages 3-10, including recital preparation and Tap. Older students and adults can explore Teen classes, Pre-Professional tracks, and Adult Tap/Ballet sessions. Intermediate/Advanced Ballet classes provide rigorous training, and aspiring dancers can explore Intermediate Clogging. The studio fosters a love for dance through its diverse offerings and engaging programs, including summer camps like POP, POPULAR, PRINCESS CAMP, and KPOP HIP HOP CAMP. Commitment to students is evident through scheduled Parent's Weeks and annual recitals at Wildwood Park, encouraging artistic development and growth.
