About CenterStage Dance and Cheer

CenterStage Dance and Cheer, located in Stuttgart, Arkansas, offers a comprehensive and diverse range of dance and tumbling programs for students of all ages, from 2-year-olds to adults. Our curriculum is designed to build technique, foster a love for movement, and prepare students for performance. We provide dedicated classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Lyrical dance, with age-specific programming catering to Tiny Dance, Mini Dance, Petite, Junior, and Teen/Senior levels. Advanced students can further their training with Teen/Senior Pointe. Beyond regular classes, CenterStage is home to the renowned CenterStage Performing Company (CSPC), a highly accomplished competitive team for dedicated dancers aged 5-18. The CSPC has achieved significant recognition, including national championship titles such as StarQuest National Champion and Power Rank Champion, excelling in both group and solo competitions. While the studio offers Tumbling Classes focusing on strength, flexibility, and cheer technique, our primary focus is on dance. All classes participate in an annual recital, and registration for the upcoming 2025-2026 season, commencing August 25, 2025, is currently open. Classes

Intermediate Tumbling

Students must be able to do a backbend kickover to participate in this class. This class has an emphasis on strength, flexibility, and teamwork. Students will work on tumbling skills such as walkovers, limbers, handsprings, and tucks.

Beginner Tumbling

Students must be at least 5 years old to participate in this class. This class has an emphasis on flexibility, strength, skills, and cheer technique. Students will learn rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and backbends in this class.

Teen/Senior Hip Hop

This class is for ages 12 and up. This class is fun and upbeat. It includes learning movements, footwork, and body placement used in hip hop style dance.

Teen/Senior Tap

Timing and rhythm while executing basic to intermediate steps is the focus in tap. Dancers will be taught short combos to improve and refine their tap technique.

Teen/Senior Jazz

Leaps, turns, and tricks are the emphasis of this jazz class. Quick choreography and advanced skills are taught and practiced through short combinations.

Teen/Senior Pointe

This 30 minute class is for dancers who have taken at least two years of ballet class, and want to advance to dancing en pointe. In this class the emphasis is on foot/ankle strength and flexibility. Short combos en pointe will be introduced.

Teen/Senior Lyrical

This 30 minute class is filled with fun, technique, and teamwork. Creating a story through dance combining techniques from jazz and ballet is the focus in this class.

Junior Hip Hop

This class is for ages 8-11. This class is fun and upbeat. It includes learning movements, footwork, and body placement used in hip hop style dance.

Junior Tap

This 30 minute class is for the tap dancers who want to refine their tap technique and begin learning more advanced tap steps and combos. Higher tempo combinations will be taught to help our young dancers practice and improve their technique.

Junior Jazz

This 30 minute class is for young dancers to continue working on their rhythm and timing. Basic Jazz skills will be reviewed and improved, and intermediate Jazz skills will be introduced. Short combos including intermediate timing and skills will help refine the jazz technique!

Junior Ballet

This 30 minute class is for young dancers to build on their technique and continue their learning. The focus in this class is proper dance class etiquette, flexibility, and musicality. Intermediate skills are taught including the proper foot technique, body placement, and muscle development.

Petite Tap

This 30 minute tap class will focus on reviewing beginner tap steps and terminology. Intermediate tap steps and combinations will be introduced.

Petite Jazz

This introduction to Jazz dance is a 30 minute class taught by focusing on flexibility and short combinations with a faster tempo. Basic jazz terminology with be introduced to the young dancers.

Petite Ballet

This 30 minute class is the next step for the young dancer to continue their skills. This class focuses on proper behavior and attitude in the dance class room. Beginner to intermediate ballet skills are taught including proper terminology, foot technique, body placement, and muscle development.

Mini Dance

This 1 hour class is the next step for little dancers to continue learning. Beginner level steps and terminology are taught in tap and ballet.

Tiny Dance

This 45 minute class is the perfect introduction for tiny dancers and tumblers. Basic steps and skills are taught through fun activities and sing-a-longs. The main purpose of this class is for the students to be introduced to dance and tumbling class and having fun!
