We are renowned for our Summer Dance Experience and Hip Hop Experience conventions, designed to ignite passion and inspire dancers with current routines. Students have the opportunity to audition for prestigious programs like the WCE Apprentice Faculty, WCE All Stars, and Standout Dancers, alongside scholarship opportunities. Our 'Xperience' convention empowers dancers of all age groups (Minis 8-10, Juniors 11-12, Teens 13-15, Seniors 16-19) to highlight their unique strengths and build confidence. Classes

University Recruitment Experience

Master Teacher

Kersten is a master teacher and choreographer around the country. She just recently finished choreographing a show for Hannah Montana star Mitchel Musso.

Hip Hop Choreography

Brandon Bryant started doing hip hop choreography his sophomore year, since that he has been taking first place with the nation winning routine. He is driven to show kids and boys you can do what you love.

Contemporary dance

Meghan Sanett has toured around the country with various contemporary dance companies such as Justin Giles’ SoulEscape and Jason Gorman and Nicole Hogg’s Marrow Dance.

Master Class Instructor

Alex has traveled as a master class instructor, choreographer and mentor for a decade. She teaches at Edge Performing Arts Center & the Young Americans College of Performing Arts.

Ballet

Mandy Korpinen studied intensively in Ballet and Pointe. She was accepted into Joffrey Ballet School, and the American Ballet Theater training companies.

Contemporary and Hip-hop

Ade Obayomi has been enjoying teaching contemporary and hip-hop dance around the country. Since then, he has performed throughout the U.S. on the SYTYCD National Tour.

Ade Obayomi trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, African and hip-hop dance. An accomplished gymnast, Obayomi was named the Arizona State champion for gymnastics when he was just ten.

Jazz, Hip-hop

Annamarie has choreographed top-scoring jazz/hip-hop routines for numerous dance studios, and is a guest educator for companies across the states. She is a graduate of the Music, Theater, & Dance program at Plymouth State University of NH.

Concert Work

Kristen DeMaria's performance experience includes concert work with LACDC, RhetOracle, and various televised yoga and fitness videos. She has taught in Japan, Ecuador, Australia and Mexico City.

Award-winning Choreography

Jimmy Stuart's award-winning choreography can be seen on competitive stages across the country. Creative credits include varying projects spanning film, television, theater, and live interactive.

Dance Conventions

Hayley teaches both in Los Angeles and around the country with conventions and dance competitions. She has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Meghan Trainor, Pharrell Williams, and Zara Larsson, to name a few.

Master Classes

Hannahlei has been traveling with JUMP dance convention as a full faculty member, teaching master classes and choreographing at different studios, and continues to audition in the dance industry.

Ballet, Jazz, Hip-hop, Musical Theater, Tap

Anthony Kin has the versatility to fulfill any capacity in dance. Represented by MSA Agency his additional training includes Debbie Reynolds, Monsters Of Hip Hop and Urban Legends.

Contemporary Fusion

Erica is very passionate about teaching and regularly holds classes in LA at Millennium Dance Complex and TMilly Studio. She has taught at dance conventions including Radix, Transcend, 24Seven, Streetz and Artist Simply Human.

Hip Hop

Francis found his love for hip hop in 2010. After being a member on iLL Habits, he went on to direct 220 and is currently a Head Coach at Torrey Pines High School, and has been for 5 years.

Lyrical

Nicole specializes in contemporary, jazz, and lyrical but has been training in all styles since the age of three. Growing up in the bay area, Nicole danced competitively at a studio as well as her high school dance team.

Dancers have the option to participate in a professional photo shoot, where they will receive all high-quality images from the session. Pom Poms are utilized to accentuate sharp, precise movements and energetic choreography.

Improv

The act of dancing without defining movement previously. The dancer will not know the song being played ahead of time nor what he or she will execute but rather move spontaneously and freely.

Acro

Acrobatic dance is a blend of acrobatics, emphasizing flexibility and aerial tricks with dance movement.

Open

Any style of dance or combination of styles that do not fit into an alternate division.

Ballroom

Routine that incorporates traditional ballroom dance throughout the majority of the routine. This can include Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Paso doble, Swing, Salsa, Samba, Rumba, Cha Cha and Jive.

Musical Theater

Any routine interpreting a song from a Broadway or Movie Musical.

Lyrical

A fusion of ballet and jazz techniques. Lyrical routines express deep emotion or observations, derived from the lyrics or feeling of the song. Lyrical routines are marked by sustained transitions, breath of movement and elongated lines.

Contemporary

A routine that rejects the limitations of classical ballet and favors movement deriving from an abstract source. Contemporary routines are marked by self expression, storytelling and freedom of movement.

Tap

A form of dance characterized by using the sound of one’s tap shoes hitting the floor as a percussicve instrument consisting of tap technique.

Hip Hop

Alternates fast paced sharp actions that involve body popping, and locking with slower movements and freezes.

Ballet

A routine consisting of ballet or pointe techniques including classical steps and movement.

Jazz

Any form of jazz dance is acceptable. Jazz favors hard hitting movements, strong lines and classical technique.

High School Dance Team Competition

West Coast Elite Dance hosts dance and drill team competitions, contests and conventions throughout the United States. We specialize in dance competitions and dance conventions for high school, middle school, elementary and starting in 2024 studios. As a company we promote an encouraging and inspiring environment so that our dancers build self-confidence. Our hope is not only to instill unity in each individual team, but to create a larger unified dance community that supports all of its members. We provide an atmosphere where dancers and choreographers feel that they can create artistry without restrictions or penalties. We pride ourselves in a team of current, knowledgeable, and experienced faculty, who provide professional feedback for all levels of dancers.

WCE Dance Nationals

WCE Dance Nationals is the premier dance event of the year. We offer $20,000 in scholarships and prize money, two levels of competition, unlimited team, solo, and improv entries, video adjudication, and a theatrical venue inside a beautiful 14,000 seat Arena in Long Beach, CA!
