Transitions Dance Center, located in Yuba City, California, offers a comprehensive and vibrant dance education for all ages and skill levels. Led by owner Amanda Davis, who holds a BFA in Dance, the studio provides a diverse array of classes including Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Musical Theater, and Ballroom. Further enriching its curriculum, Transitions Dance Center also features specialized instruction in Aerial, Stretch and Strength, and the popular California social dance, West Coast Swing. The studio boasts a dedicated and experienced faculty, including Sarah Walker, former soloist with the Sacramento Ballet, who directs the Ballet program. Samantha Chizek brings professional choreography experience, while Mariah Larios excels in Musical Theatre. Andrea Dunham shares over 30 years of Tap expertise, and Shelley Fish infuses her classes with competitive gymnastics knowledge. Angelica Gomer, a dancer and therapist, emphasizes positivity, and Lena Bautista is celebrated for her Hip Hop instruction. Katelyn Counts, with Martha Graham Dance Company training, teaches Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Modern, and Hip-Hop. Yuba City native Lauren Bartlett shares her extensive performing background. Allie Mooney, a competitive dancer and choreographer, teaches Hip Hop and other styles, and Melissa Etcheverry, with training in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz, also brings expertise in country partner dancing and West Coast Swing. Transitions Dance Center is committed to fostering a love for the art form, providing opportunities for students to develop as artists and individuals. The studio operates from two locations and offers flexible payment options, including drop-in and registration through their online portal.
