Rising Starz Dance Studio LLC, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut, offers a vibrant and comprehensive dance education for individuals of all ages and skill levels. With a strong emphasis on foundational technique, Ballet is a core requirement, ensuring dancers develop essential skills across a diverse range of styles including Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Acrobatics, African dance, Salsa, Ballroom, Zumba, and Belly Dance. Our dedicated faculty includes experienced instructors such as Malaysia Johnson, who brings extensive training from institutions like Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Millennium Dance Complex, and Jasmine Terrell, renowned for her expertise in African dance and Twerk. Sam Constable also contributes valuable choreography experience gained from Sacred Heart University. We cater to various age groups, from our youngest 'First Company' members (3-5) and 'Minis' (6-8) to 'Juniors' (9-12), and also provide engaging adult classes. For aspiring performers, our competition team selection is based on auditions, and classes are structured across different levels, from Beginner (Level I) to Advanced (Level II), ensuring personalized progression. Rising Starz is committed to fostering a passion for dance within the Bridgeport community, providing a nurturing and supportive environment for artistic growth. Our dynamic Summer Program, running for six weeks starting July 8th for ages 8-15, immerses participants in exciting styles and provides all-inclusive dance attire, daily breakfast, and lunch, making it a hassle-free adventure. We aim to reach the youth and the wider community through the transformative power of dance, encouraging creativity, building lasting memories, and sharing knowledge.
