Eastern Connecticut Ballet

Older children will build their skills and develop artistry through The In Balanchine's Footsteps Program. Students enrolled in the Senior Workshop and the Senior Intensive will study with master teachers who either worked directly with the Father of American Ballet George Balanchine, or who were trained in his technique.

Our adult program offers a variety of dance and fitness classes designed to meet personal physical and artistic goals. Our experienced, professional faculty is dedicated to educating and challenging each dancer in a friendly and supportive environment.

Eastern Connecticut Ballet’s SHINE (Support and Highlight Inclusion through New Experiences) Program is designed for differently-abled children and adults ages 4 and up. In this program, students will experience a welcoming environment in which people of all abilities can gather to express themselves through dance. We utilize a structured curriculum based on Boston Ballet’s Adaptive Dance model, which encourages fine and gross motor development. Students will develop musicality, expression, coordination, and strength.

Intermediate and advanced dancers are invited to train with Artistic Director Gloria Govrin and guest faculty. The Senior Intensive is designed to develop technique, strength, and artistry.

The Junior Workshop offers the perfect balance between successful learning and fun. Enrich your ballet training while exploring new elements of ballet arts with a variety of dance styles and enrichment classes.

More experienced students will benefit from the Senior Workshop, led by ECB Artistic Director, Gloria Govrin. This course is designed to develop technique, strength and artistry. Classes including Ballet, Pointe, and Repertoire will help motivated students advance with confidence.

The youngest dancers may enroll in Storybook Adventure featuring ballet and special crafts set to the themes of "The Wizard of Oz" and "Moana."

Young dancers are encouraged to express themselves through their natural love of music and movement. Voted “The Shoreline’s Best Children’s Ballet School,” we emphasize basic ballet skills, coordination, and musicality.

The Petite Dancer workshop is designed to bridge the gap between the Young Children’s Program and the Graded Classical Ballet Program. It is wonderful to see children's faces light up when they are inspired by a creative arts experience.

The Junior Workshop offers the perfect balance between successful learning and fun. Enrich your ballet training while exploring new elements of ballet arts including character, jazz, and choreography.

The Petite Dancer Workshop is designed to bridge the gap between the young children’s program and the graded classical ballet program. Dancers will dance to beloved ballet music, and make creative crafts based on classical masterpieces and Broadway favorites.

Budding ballet dancers in Storybook Magic Adventure will sing and dance along with their favorite characters in our popular week-long program. For three hours each day, children will enjoy an exciting and rewarding morning of ballet, games, storytelling, and crafts. Pre- Ballet class, storytelling, crafts and games based on "Moana" themes. Storybook Adventure will include themed crafts for each day of the week! Classes held on-campus with limited number of participants.
