Burlesque by Giana Montoya is an empowering and safe experience for Ladies Only to embrace their inner-bombshell and step our of their comfort zone, while learning a sexy original choreography. We have group workshops several times a year, and these experiences are also available for hire for women’s groups/retreats, bachelorette parties, and girls nights!

These classes or workshops seek to help every dancer feel great in their bodies while they dance, and gain confidence that they look great while they dance too! Everyone can do the steps, but it’s understanding of body mechanics and artistry of movement that can make any basic step look award-winning! If you’ve ever felt or currently feel awkward while you dance, don’t worry- this class is designed just for you.

We offer two levels of Salsa classes: Beginner and Intermediate on Monday nights. Salsa is a vibrant and energetic social dance with roots from Africa and Latin America. Fueled by infectious rhythms and dynamic movements, salsa embodies passion, connection, and joy on the dance floor. In every class you will experience a full body warm-up, learn and practice salsa footwork and styling, and learn a partnerwork pattern that you can take onto the dance floor at our practice social following your class.

Our signature program created by Giana Montoya in 2019, and is going into our 10th Season! Our program is designed to introduce future Superstars ages 5 to 12 to the exhilarating world of Latin dance, igniting their passion for movement, music, and culture. We offer an all-levels class on Thursday nights. Bachata is a slower, more sensual dance style from the Dominican Republic. Dancers love the rhythmic movements and emotional and expressive music. In every class you will experience a breakdown of footwork and warm-up your body to music, and learn a new partner pattern that you can practice that night!

Do you have dreams of performing on stage? Do you enjoy the challenge of pushing yourself towards a dance goal? Montoya Dance Company has PERFORMANCE TEAMS that will give any committed dancer the opportunity to shine on stage! We have two 4-month seasons, that culminate in our big showcases: SUMMER SHOWCASE and WINTER EXTRAVAGANZA! Currently we are in progress with 3 teams: Ladies Styling Team (all levels), MDC Salsa Team (Intermediate level), and Salsa Kidz (ages 5-12).

If your child is within the age ranges of 5-12, we have a dedicated SALSA KIDZ program that is perfect! It’s a 4-month program on Saturday’s with a Showcase performance at the end of the season.

Train hard for 5 weeks — then light up the floor at our 9/27 social. Practices on Thursdays 8/21, 8/28, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25 with a show 9/27. No partner. No limits. Just straight footwork fire! All levels welcome to the challenge.

Students travel far and wide to Fort Myers to have the opportunity to train with Giana in an intensive environment. Most intensives are 10-20 hours between 5-7 days. They can be tailored to your specifications.
