At New Day Dance Academy, we offer Private/Semi-Private lessons for all styles/levels. This is for anyone looking for more class time, one-on-one attention, and improvement.

Adult Dance Worship + Intercession

This class provides a transformative way to connect with God through movement. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just starting your dancing journey, this welcoming space invites you to deepen your worship and prayer life with your whole being. Learn to move in freedom, express your devotion, and engage in heartfelt intercession through the power of dance. Past participants have shared how these classes unlock new depths of worship and create a safe, comfortable environment to explore faith through movement. Whether to present a piece in the end-of-season performance will be decided collectively as a class.

Adult Jazz Fusion

In Jazz Fusion we will explore and enjoy strengthening and increasing mobility and flexibility while having fun with different styles of jazz, even incorporating modern techniques and hip hop concepts. Both modifications and also challenges will be provided to accommodate the variety of needs within the class throughout the duration of the season. This class will NOT have a dance in our end-of-season performance.

Adult Ballet

Whether you're new to ballet or have some experience and are looking to strengthen technique, this class offers a balanced approach. Fundamental ballet positions and movements will be covered, along with barre exercises that improve strength and alignment, as well as center & across the floor work to develop coordination and grace. Modifications and challenges will be provided to suit individual skill levels, ensuring a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for everyone. This class will NOT have a dance in our end-of-season performance.

Tap 3

This class will dive deeper into the techniques and rhythms of traditional tap. Students will work on refining their footwork, master more complex combinations, and develop a stronger sense of timing and musicality. Exercises will challenge their coordination, speed, and rhythm, in a fun and encouraging environment. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Tap 2

This tap class introduces dancers to the foundational steps and rhythms of traditional tap dance. Students will learn basic footwork, coordination, and musicality through fun, structured exercises and simple combinations. Emphasis is placed on clear sounds, proper technique, and understanding rhythm. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Jazz/Hip Hop 2

This level continues to build upon the previous level, and will introduce more complex jazz technique, turns, and jumps, as well as more advanced and intricate hip hop styles. They will also explore more originality and personality within their choreography. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Jazz/Hip Hop 1

This level builds upon the previous level starting to bring more precision to their jazz technique, and further musicality and rhythm of hip hop. In an upbeat and fun environment, dancers will focus more on proper body alignment and control, while also exploring their unique personality and freestyle within their dancing. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Primary Jazz/Hip Hop

It is a fun and energetic introductory class that blends the upbeat style of hip hop with the structure and basic techniques of jazz to help dancers build rhythm, coordination, and confidence. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Acro 3

This level is for those who have been in Acro for several years and/or have had previous experience in advanced Acro/Gymnastics/Dance. Students must be able to do a standing backhand spring by themselves, or with a light spot, to participate in this class. It is required that students that are enrolled in Acro 3 take Ballet. Fundamentals are very important and play a huge part in Acro, considering the fact that dance movements, musicality, and choreography is frequently incorporated. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Acro 2

This level is typically for those who have been in Acro for several years and/or have had previous experience in Acro/Gymnastics/Dance. It is required that students that’re enrolled in Acro 2 take Ballet. Fundamentals are very important and play a huge part in Acro, considering the fact that dance movements, musicality, and choreography is frequently incorporated. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Acro 1B

Students will be introduced to more in depth conditioning and stretching exercises. They will advance to more challenging tumbling skills and elaborate choreography, that may include stunts and more advanced dance movements. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Acro 1A

Intro to Acrobatics

AcroDance is the fusion of artistic motion of dance and the athleticism of acrobatics. This may include movements such as stretching/strengthening exercises, tumbling, balances, stunts, and advanced choreography. At New Day Dance Academy, all of our Acro levels use an Acro Tumbling Mat to ensure safety when students are attempting rather challenging skills. Intro to Acro will introduce useful stretches/strengthening exercises, cardio- centered warm ups, musicality, and beginner tumbling exercises. Students will NOT perform in end-of-season performance.

Contemporary 2

There will be a greater expectation and emphasis on maintaining proper technique while executing more difficult contemporary movements. Classes will include a center warm-up, across the floor exercises, floor work, and guided improvisation/worship, and quicker choreography. Students will be expected to exude more emotion within their movement, stretching the boundaries of their movement, and exploring more elements of their movement such as speed & directional changes, more jumps & turns, fall & recovery, etc. A heart of worship will be essential to carrying out the vision and style of the dances learned for our end-of-season performance. Dancers in Contemporary 2 will likely have more than 1 contemporary dance, and may also have other opportunities to perform their pieces other than just our end-of-season performance.

Contemporary 1B

Students will begin to advance into a bit more in-depth contemporary technique within their center warm-up, across the floor exercises, floor work, and guided improvisation/worship. Students will begin to use more abstract concepts to inform their movement, will be encouraged to utilize greater force in their contract & release movements, and there will be a strong emphasis on dance as worship. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Contemporary 1A

Contemporary dance combines elements of ballet, modern, and jazz, focusing on the contract and release of the body, unpredictable changes in rhythm, speed, and direction, incorporating floor work, fall & recovery, and improvisation. Contemporary dance provides dancers the opportunity to express emotion in a greater way through movement and breath. At New Day Dance Academy, our contemporary dance includes a strong emphasis on worship. In order to take a contemporary class, it is required to also be enrolled in a ballet class. In Contemporary 1A, students will begin to advance into a bit more in-depth contemporary technique within their center warm-up, across the floor exercises, floor work, and guided improvisation/worship. Students will begin to use more abstract concepts to inform their movement, will be encouraged to utilize greater force in their contract & release movements, and there will be a strong emphasis on dance as worship. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Ballet 2

Dancers in this level will have 3 ballet classes per week. There will be a greater expectation and emphasis on maintaining proper technique throughout full movements, with an increased focus on memorizing class exercises. At this level, students are expected to demonstrate consistent alignment, control, and coordination as they take on more demanding combinations. Conditioning & strengthening will increase as students begin to learn more difficult movements and are challenged & equipped to attain an increased range of flexibility. Dancers will enjoy the new challenges this level brings, and will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Ballet 1B

Dancers in this level will have 2 ballet classes per week. We will build upon previous levels, challenging dancers with longer and more complex barre and center combinations. Greater discipline is expected when it comes to applying corrections and maintaining proper technique throughout combinations. This level offers both challenge and reward as dancers rise to meet new technical and artistic expectations. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Ballet 1A

Dancers in this class will gain a strong base for technique by learning more about how their muscles and alignment can help them control their movements. They will be challenged with musicality and memorization of level-appropriate exercises. This level will also introduce a greater use of the entire body while dancing, using the head, arms, and legs simultaneously. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Primary Ballet B

This class prepares students for the transition into Ballet 1 by strengthening technique and refining foundational movement patterns. Dancers are introduced to more complex combinations and begin to use their whole body more expressively. This level challenges students to apply corrections, remember sequences, and begin to dance with more artistry. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Primary Ballet A

Students will continue to develop correct posture, alignment, and coordination while learning more structured ballet exercises at the barre and in the center. Musical awareness and movement quality are emphasized as dancers grow in confidence and skill. Students will learn a dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Pre Primary Ballet + Tap

This class begins to lay further foundations for proper ballet technique, introducing proper alignment and positioning in both upper and lower bodies. Students will begin to gain a sense of accomplishment and joy in learning as they grow in their skills. In the last 20 minutes of class, dancers will put on their tap shoes and continue to build upon tap basics while developing more refined footwork, timing, and rhythm. Students will have a ballet dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Creative Movement Ballet + Tap

This class continues to use creative imagery and play to lay early foundations for musicality and ballet technique, as well as furthering growth in following instructions in a group setting. In the last 15 minutes of class, dancers will put on their tap shoes and will explore basic tap sounds and movements while developing coordination, listening skills, and more musical awareness. Students will have a ballet dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Little Steps Ballet + Tap

Students will be introduced to simple ballet movements through the use of imagery and creativity, while also beginning the journey of learning how to follow instructions in a group setting. In the last 15 minutes of class, dancers will put on their tap shoes and will explore basic tap sounds and movements while developing coordination, listening skills, and more musical awareness. Students will have a simple ballet dance to perform in our end-of-season performance.

Mommy + Me Ballet

Our Mommy & Me Ballet class is a sweet introduction to dance designed especially for little ones and their moms. In this playful environment, toddlers explore movement, music, and basic ballet steps while building coordination and confidence. Moms actively participate in class, making it a special bonding experience filled with laughter, creativity, and connection. Whether it’s twirling, tiptoeing, or sharing giggles, this class sets the stage for a lifelong love of dance. This class does not participate in our end-of-season performance.
