The acrobatic movements and acts of balance performed in an acro dance are referred to as tricks. A variety of tricks are commonly performed in acro dance, varying widely in complexity and the skills required to perform them. Aside from the obvious requirement that dancers possess the requisite skills to perform tricks, the types of tricks that can be performed in an acro dance depends on the number of dancers.

Ballet Pointe

An artistic dance form performed to music using precise and highly formalized set steps and gestures. Classical ballet, which originated in Renaissance Italy and established its present form during the 19th century, is characterized by light, graceful, fluid movements and the use of pointe shoes. Pointe technique is a part of classical ballet where the dancer will stand on the tip of their toes in specially designed shoes. The shoes are much harder in ballet shoes and to advance to this level of ballet an evaluation is required as well as one month of pre pointe training private lessons and an additional month of privates once the pointe shoes are acquired. Point shoes should be purchased with a dance teacher present.
