Placement on the performance company is by audition only. Auditions are held in May/June for the next dance season. If your dancer is interested in becoming a performance company member, please contact the studio directly.

Star Dance Studio offers competition dance teams for the serious student. Our competition dance team has won numerous awards in both regional and national dance competitions. Our competition dancers also participate in various community activities such as Downtown Newnan’s Annual Christmas Parade, Main Street Newnan’s Christmas Open House, the SCBT’s production of Christmas at the Center, and SCBT's production of the ballet, Cinderella and Nutcracker. In addition to teams, we also offer very talented students the opportunity to compete in smaller groups and as individuals.

All additional 1 1/2 hour classes within the same family are billed at a discounted rate of $60 each

A $40 registration fee is required for all regular season classes held August through May. Please use the PayPal or Venmo (@stardancestudio) buttons below to submit payment as well as filling out the registration form.

Ballet Technique is for students in Ballet I or Ballet II wishing to improve or heighten their ballet skills. There is no costume fee or dance in the end-of-season recital for this class.

Pointe class placement is at the director's discretion. In order to be eligible for Pointe, a student must have at least 3 years of ballet training, be proficient in ballet technique, have adequate strength in the feet, ankles, and legs, and be at an appropriate level of physical development. Students may only take Pointe class with the teacher's approval and MUST also take Ballet III/IV AND Ballet Technique. No exceptions will be made to this rule.

Level I classes are structured for ages 8 years and up. Once dancers get to Level classes, placement is based more on ability and technique rather than age.

Tumbledance/Hippity Hop combo class is structured for ages 6-10 years.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz combo classes are structured for ages 6-8 years.

Ballet/Tap combo classes are structured for ages 5-7 years.

Pre-Ballet & Primary Tap classes are structured for our youngest dancers, ages 3-4 years.

Pre-Ballet & Primary Tap may be taken separately at the 30 minute class rate or together as a combo class at the one hour rate. There will still be only one costume fee as a combo.

Ballet Technique II is for advanced students wishing to improve or heighten their ballet skills. There is no costume fee or dance in the end-of-season recital for this class.

Leaps and Turns Technique class is for ages 12+. Those under the age of 12 who wish to take the class will need approval from Miss Leigh. There is no costume fee or dance in the end-of-season recital for this class. Class can be taken on a month-by-month basis.

Adult Class tuition is $30 per month. There is no registration fee if you have a registered student at Star Dance Studio. This is a beginning/intermediate level class focusing on jazz and tap technique. Wear gym clothes or something you can easily move in.
