Jennifer Bishop's School of Dance, located in Alton, Illinois, has been a cornerstone of dance education since 2006. Founded by Jennifer Bishop, a dancer with over 32 years of teaching experience and extensive professional credits, the studio offers a comprehensive dance education for students of all ages and skill levels. Ms. Bishop, who began dancing at age three and professionally by twelve, brings a wealth of knowledge, having trained with renowned figures and performed in numerous professional productions and national commercials. Our experienced instructors, many of whom are former students of Ms. Bishop, provide fresh and exciting instruction, ensuring students receive high-quality training. We foster a positive and nurturing environment where students build confidence, self-esteem, compassion, and responsibility through the art of dance. Our curriculum spans a wide array of styles including Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Musical Theatre, Ballroom, and Barre. For aspiring performers, our Competition Program, including the JBSD PAC, offers enriching experiences with participation in regional and national competitions, where our teams have a history of competitive success, frequently winning spirit awards and top studio accolades. Dedicated classes are available for various age groups, from KinderMovement for 2-6 year olds to advanced Acro Company and Elite programs. Jennifer Bishop's School of Dance also emphasizes academic excellence through its J.A.E.R.P. program, celebrating students who maintain an 'A' average, and cultivates a strong sense of community, encapsulated by their motto, "#jbsdfamilyalways."
