BeMoved®
This is a low-impact dance fitness class for all levels. It is a “follow along” class, which means you are not trying to remember choreography, you are just following the instructor and doing what they do. It starts and ends with a warm-up and cool-down, both of which are done standing (no getting down on the floor). The middle section is the “genre” section which changes every week—it could be 80s music, or gospel pop, or swing music, or even Bollywood. That part of the class gets your heart rate up and keeps you moving! You will leave this class feeling energized and refreshed!
Intermediate Classes
Our Intermediate level classes are typically drop-in classes that focus on one style for several weeks. Students who already know the basics of this style can work on developing stronger partnering, rhythm and a sophisticated style, so that you can feel confident on the dance floor.
Social Dance Basics
This drop-in class will equip you with tools and tips to master turns and dips, as well as many fundamental ballroom dance concepts, so that you may feel calm, classic, and confident when dancing at a wedding (or any other venue with popular music). Each week we will explore one dance concept across multiple social styles including waltz, rumba, fox trot, hustle, and swing. Your posture (and partner) will thank you!
