The Intensive Ballet program is designed to help every dancer reach their potential and goals. The program includes continuing ballet classes during the summer, including one intensive week. During the school year the student must take their level of Ballet, a Technique class, and a Modern class. Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary & Musical Theatre are also offered according to the appropriate level. Jazz and Contemporary Classes ($60 each), as well as Tap, Lyrical, and Musical Theater ($55 each), may be added to the student’s monthly tuition, also without additional discounts. The monthly fee for the Intensive Dance Program is $ 180 with Pointe, and $140 without a Pointe Class.

The Pointe Program is optional for our Intensive students, however, those wishing to participate, are offered the pointe class in the discounted, monthly tuition package. When a student’s training has progressed to the appropriate level, Ms. King will invite her to join the Pointe Program and then, accompanies each ballerina as she is fitted for her first pair of pointe shoes.

All our dancers age 8 and up, including teens, are welcome to add hip hop to their curriculum.

Any student taking both ballet and the jazz/tap class may take the Poms Class for an additional $15 per month instead of the normal tuition rate.

School age children from 6-7 are introduced to Ballet, Tap, and Jazz during a 75-minute weekly class. Age appropriate movement and music is used to further enhance the youngster’s knowledge of the discipline of dance, while adding to his or her self esteem and confidence. The content of this unique combination class includes ballet all school year, with tap taught the first three months, jazz the next three, and a combination dance choreographed for the concert. Students in this class also perform a ballet piece during our show.

Come Move with Me classes are available to students who are 18 months of age to 3 years, along with an accompanying adult who would love to dance with them! The use of props along with children’s songs encourages fine motor coordination and gross motor skills while offering a fun experience for all.

School age children from 6-7 are introduced to Ballet, Tap, and Jazz during a 60-minute weekly class. Age appropriate movement and music is used to further enhance the youngster’s knowledge of the discipline of dance, while adding to his or her self esteem and confidence. For preschoolers and kindergartens, a one hour weekly class includes ballet fundamentals throughout the school year, with an emphasis on jazz in the fall, creative movement through the holidays and early winter, and rhythmic concepts as they relate to tap dancing in the spring. In addition, choreography for our annual concert is presented after March 1, and rehearsed along with our regular class content. Each young dancer has a “Big Girlfriend” who performs behind her on the stage, offering added security while on the “big stage”. The fundamentals presented in these classes are based on fine and gross motor activities, as well as spatial awareness, musicality, and pre-reading skills. Self-discipline and socialization are also introduced.

During the school year the student must take their level of Ballet, a Technique class, and a Modern class. Any student enrolled in the Intensive Dance Program at DANCE IMAGES is required to attend his or her level technique class on Saturdays.
