This class is for 8th grade students preparing for their High School dance team tryouts. They must be enrolled in a Ballet 4 or higher level ballet class. Placement is made very carefully by our experienced staff.

Musical Theatre introduces students to Broadway dance and theatre. The class will consist of a jazz warm-up and choreography will be taught from popular Broadway shows. It is age appropriate and lots of fun!

This form of dance is inspired by nature, music, art and human emotions. Our modern classes are accompanied by 2 live percussionists using congas, a drum kit and other percussive instruments during these classes to enhance the students’ experience.

Lyrical is a very popular form of dance and is a fusion of ballet and jazz. Lyrical requires all students to have a very strong ballet background and to be an enrolled LAD ballet student to take these classes.

This class focuses on leaps and turns technique only and is a non-recital class. Ballet 4, 5 or 6 enrollment required.

A class continuing on the foundation of Junior High Dance Team skills. This class focuses on high school dance team tryout technique, performance and preparation.

A class introducing dance team skills in junior high. This is a great class to prepare them for their high school dance team tryouts.

This class is designed to help you transform your technical skills into captivating performances. We’ll go beyond the counts and explore how to truly hear and feel the music, so you can dance with purpose and emotion. Through a variety of exercises, you will learn to interpret different musical styles, improve your timing and rhythm, and confidently explore your own improvisational movement. This class will challenge you to be a smarter, more dynamic and more expressive dancer. Our dancers will also choreograph their own Recital Piece as a team for our June Performance weekend with Mr. Clayton’s guidance. They will learn how to play percussion with Mr. Chris’s percussive instruments during select classes.

Advanced contemporary class. Ballet 6 enrollment required.

These classes are designed for Kindergartners. We introduce barre exercise, fun combinations across the floor, balance, flexibility, strength, the French ballet syllabus and center work. This is an essential class to build the foundation for proper technique to move ahead in ballet and other dance disciplines.

These classes are designed for pre-schoolers. These classes introduce young children to basic ballet terminology and positions of the feet and arms through creative movement and use of props. These classes also introduce children to music, rhythm, and combinations traveling across the floor.

Tap is a fun, high energy style that introduces rhythm patterns for the feet

Pointe is the study of ballet while wearing blocked satin shoes that allow the dancer to raise the body onto the tips of the toes. Dancers must get a note from a doctor stating that they have had an x-ray and that their feet are mature enough for pointe. They must also be currently studying ballet 4 or higher and have permission from their instructor.
