Bethel College Academy of Performing Arts (BCAPA), located in North Newton, Kansas, provides a nurturing and welcoming environment for dancers of all ages to explore their passion for movement and creativity. Catering to children from under 2 years old up to teens, BCAPA offers a diverse range of dance classes and programs designed for growth and self-expression. Our curriculum encompasses foundational styles such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro, Hip Hop, Modern, and Contemporary, with specialized "Parent and Me" and "Big Adventures for Mini Dancers" classes for our youngest students (ages 6 and under), focusing on coordination, confidence, and social skills. Dancers aged 7 and older can advance through leveled classes, building technique and performance skills. For dedicated students, the Kaleidoscope Dance Company offers a Pre-professional program with advanced training and performance opportunities. BCAPA's passionate faculty includes Director of Dance Haylie Berning, who brings extensive performance and teaching experience, alongside instructors like Emily Blaine (Assistant Dance Director), Hannah ter Beek (Ballet), Resa Marie Davenport (Ballet, Tap), Tess Bigham (Contemporary/Modern), Eliza Epp, Brennon Madrid, Mateya McCord (Hip Hop), and Emily Schulze. We aim to foster discipline, focus, perseverance, physical fitness, and emotional well-being, empowering students to build confidence and lasting friendships. Emerald Company

Emerald Company is for advanced level dancers and membership requires an audition at the beginning of each year. Requirements include taking at least 3 technique classes per week, choosing from 2 ballet classes, 1 jazz class and 1 modern class at the advanced level.

Sapphire Company

Sapphire Company is for intermediate level dancers and membership requires an audition at the beginning of each year. Requirements include taking at least 2 technique classes per week, one of which must be an intermediate or advanced ballet class.

Amethyst Company

Amethyst Company is for beginning level dancers age 8 and up. Membership requires an audition at the beginning of each year or instructor invitation. Requirements include taking at least 2 technique classes per week with consistent attendance.

Ruby Company

Ruby Company is for beginning level dancers age 7 and up. Membership is granted by invitation or instructor approval and does not require an audition. Requirements include taking at least 1 technique class per week with consistent attendance.

Musical Theater Jazz

Musical Theater Jazz blends the expressive storytelling of Broadway with the technique and energy of jazz dance. Dancers build stage presence and confidence while learning character-driven choreography to popular show tunes. This class is perfect for students who love to perform and want to bring personality and emotion to their movement.

Acro

Acro dance blends acrobatics with traditional dance elements, building strength, balance, and flexibility through impressive stunts and tumbling. Ideal for students who love a challenge and want to push their physical limits in a safe and supportive environment.

Hip Hop
