Ballet 2 is designed for ages 6-7 and/or 1st grade students. This class continues to develop ballet technique with increased complexity in steps and movements.

Ballet 1 is for ages 5-6 and/or kindergarten students. This class builds upon basic ballet positions and introduces simple choreography.

Pre-Ballet is suitable for ages 4-5 and/or pre-kindergarten students. This class focuses on fundamental ballet techniques and coordination development for young learners.

Creative Movement is designed for ages 3-4 and students must be potty trained. This class introduces young children to the joy of movement and basic dance concepts.

Ages 14 and up private lessons are not a replacement for a class. These lessons should follow a class, so that you are already warmed up, and a specific goal should be discussed with the director for the purpose of the private lesson. Examples are -Variations for auditions for summer intensives, YPAS, GSA, YAGP, colleges, etc. This will also include times for video recordings, and headshots, etc.

Dance Company for committed students (Grades 7–12) — by placement only. Students develop strong technical foundations, musicality, and stage presence. LAFA’s dance program is a welcoming environment where students of all levels can grow.

Let your imagination take center stage in our Creative Writing classes, led by published author Lynn Slaughter. In this weekly class, students explore the art of storytelling, build their writing skills, and develop their own voices as authors.

Our Musical Theater class helps students build skills in acting, singing, and dancing, while gaining confidence and learning to work collaboratively as a performance ensemble.

Two week summer dance intensive that will expand beyond your typical semester courses. Dancers will engage in conditioning, dance anatomy, pre-pointe, variations, costume design, music theory, as well as developing their ballet, jazz, and modern technique.
