Founded by Sophia Rabinovitz, who holds a BFA in Dance and a Masters in Dance Cultures, the studio fosters a safe, inclusive, and creative environment. Rabinovitz, also a Personal Trainer and Yoga Alliance certified instructor, emphasizes holistic wellness alongside dance education. Artivism Dance's artistic team includes accomplished dancers such as Jordan “Swish” Smith, Eris Noelle Prescott, Madyson Barbain, Omari ‘Halo’ Dillard, Quasha ‘Q’ Cheneau, Erika Torres, Anita “Miss Anita 007” De Lucio, Chelcy Johnson, Bianca San Martin, Thomas “Sora” Lin, Jarina Carvahlo, and Alex ‘Rock Lobzter’ Koai. The studio's diverse curriculum spans foundational styles like Ballet, Belly Dance, and Hip Hop, alongside contemporary explorations in Afro-Modern and Contemporary. Enthusiasts can explore Musical Theater, K-Pop, and Heels Dance, as well as urban forms including Breakdance, Hip Hop Clowning, House, Krump, and Vogue. Committed to using movement for positive change, Artivism Dance actively engages with the community through teaching artist roles with organizations like Young Audiences of Louisiana and the New Orleans Youth Alliance. To ensure accessibility, the studio offers flexible pricing structures including drop-in rates, class packs, monthly memberships with introductory offers, semester-long youth classes, and a monthly payment plan.
