Dance Studio of Maine, nestled in Gorham, Maine, has been a cornerstone of dance education in Southern Maine for 68 years. We are dedicated to fostering technical excellence within an enjoyable and creative atmosphere, welcoming dancers of all ages and skill levels. Our comprehensive curriculum encompasses a diverse range of disciplines, including Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, and Musical Theatre. We pride ourselves on small class sizes to ensure personalized attention, with students thoughtfully grouped by age and ability. This individualized approach cultivates a supportive environment where students thrive, often described as a 'second home' with a perfect balance of high-caliber training, encouragement, and fun. For our youngest dancers (ages 2-9), our 'Session Based' program offers shorter commitments and engaging end-of-session performances. Our 'Recreational Recital' program, running for nine months and ideal for ages 4-18+, focuses on skill development, building friendships, and culminates in a full-stage performance. Our esteemed faculty is led by owner and instructor Trish, with over 25 years of teaching experience. The team includes Megan (Tap), Ryan and Ashley (Hip Hop), Jasmine (Acrobatic Arts certified, Progressing Ballet Technique), Ashley and Matilda (Jazz, Contemporary), Matilda (Lyrical), Makenzie (Jazz, Contemporary, Early Childhood Education), Alyssa (Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Acrobatic Arts certified), Alex (Tap), Rachel (Ballet, professional experience with Joffrey Ballet), and Grace (Ballet Performance degree).
