About Fitzgerald Performing Arts

Fitzgerald Performing Arts, located in Southbridge, Massachusetts, is a vibrant center for dance and performing arts, welcoming students of all ages and abilities. Our comprehensive ballet program, led by esteemed instructors Miss Julie, Miss Maria, and Miss Bella, provides rigorous training rooted in the Royal Academy of Dance and Vaganova styles, building a strong foundation for diverse dance disciplines. For dedicated ballet students, the Aspiring Dancer Program (ADP) offers advanced training in technique, pre-pointe/pointe work, strength conditioning, and performance opportunities, including our beloved annual Nutcracker production. Beyond ballet, we cultivate dramatic talent through engaging Theatre Arts Classes, directed by Mrs. Lamprey, focusing on character development, vocal expression, movement, and musicality to prepare students for our annual Spring Musicals. Our Hip Hop and Musical Theater programs further enrich the artistic experience, fostering creativity and performance skills. Fitzgerald Performing Arts also features a welcoming Adult Program, offering a fun, non-judgmental environment with revamped classes, Workshop Wednesdays, and performance opportunities for individuals at any age or ability level to reconnect with their passion for dance. No matter what age or ability level, we have a class for you in a place where dance is always fun with no judgement! We have revamped our adult program this season with additional classes, Workshop Wednesdays, and performance opportunities for those who are interested!

Theatre Classes

Our Theatre classes are taught by Theatre Director, Mrs Lamprey. The mission of our Theatre Arts Classes is to build the necessary skills for students to confidently participate in our annual Spring Musicals. The classes will focus on character development, vocal expression, movement and musicality. Students will be able to create characters and scenes in a comfortable environment.

The Aspiring Dancer Program (ADP)

The Aspiring Dancer Program (ADP) was created for dancers who are interested in advancing further in ballet with possibilities of either dancing professionally or becoming a dance teacher in the future. These students will be exposed to technique class, pre-pointe/pointe, strength training and variations, along with an elective class of their choice. These students will have extra performance opportunities along with the chance to perform in our annual Nutcracker.

Ballet

Our ballet program focuses on providing excellent technique in the Royal Academy of Dance and Vaganova training styles, taught by Miss Julie, Miss Maria, and Miss Bella. This training will not only give them a solid base for ballet, but also for all other forms of dance.
