Kathy's School of Dance, located in Durand, Michigan, has been a vibrant cornerstone of the local arts community for 50 years, fostering a passion for expression through movement. Under the ownership and operation of Becki Zvonek-Love since 2003, the studio boasts a rich history and over 25 years of her personal dance experience. Recognized for excellence, Kathy's School of Dance is a Cecchetti Ballet-certified studio and has been honored as Shiawassee County's #1 Dance Instruction and Performance award recipient. Our award-winning studio offers a comprehensive dance education for all ages and abilities, from recreational exploration to competitive training. Students can immerse themselves in a diverse curriculum that includes foundational techniques in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap, alongside expressive Lyrical, dynamic Hip Hop, and percussive artistry. We also provide instruction in Ballroom dancing and acrobatics. Our dedicated staff includes owner and director Miss Becki, a certified member of the National Cecchetti Council of America. Miss Casey offers training in Cecchetti & Russian ballet, jazz, tap, and modern dance. Miss Danielle, Miss Jamie (excelling in lyrical, gymnastics, and hip hop), Miss Molly (specializing in tap, jazz, and hip hop with training from Metro-Detroit and MSU), and former student Miss Lily, now guide our students. Miss Allison, passionate about dance since childhood, also shares her knowledge. Kathy's School of Dance is committed to providing high-quality instruction, helping each student discover their unique voice and potential. We nurture competitive dancers with exciting routines and a platform to showcase their growth, making improving dance skills an accessible and enjoyable journey in a nurturing, family atmosphere.
