About Dance Alliance Studio

Dance Alliance Studio, nestled in Saline, Michigan, stands as a premier destination for comprehensive dance education, committed to nurturing exceptional dancers and individuals. Founded in 2004 by accomplished dancers and choreographers Adam B. Clark and Lisa Darby Clark, the studio boasts a rich history deeply embedded in the local community. Adam B. Clark, a veteran of Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago and former artistic director of Jazz Dance Theatre, brings extensive expertise in jazz technique and choreography. Lisa Darby Clark, a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Dance Arts, complements this with her background in ballet, modern, and jazz instruction, including experience as an adjunct professor at Michigan State University. Dance Alliance offers a robust curriculum designed to foster technical skill and artistic expression in students of all abilities and aspirations. Core dance disciplines include Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop, with programs designed to explore various genres and advanced styles. The studio is renowned for its annual production of "The Nutcracker," a cherished holiday tradition since 1998. Dance Alliance is home to the Dance Alliance Repertory Company (DARC), a competitive team designed to challenge serious dancers while fostering essential life skills like teamwork and discipline. DARC alumni have achieved success in diverse professional arenas. The studio has also been instrumental in founding the Saline High School Dance Team. Mrs. Clark also served as adjunct professor and guest artist for five years at Michigan State University where she taught ballet, modern and jazz for the Theater Department.

Adam Clark has had the honor of instructing dancers from all over the country in several Jazz and Stretch classes at studios as well as during “Final Cut”.

The two began training and performing together at a studio in Howell, Michigan where they were also part of a youth dance company, Performing Arts Dance Theater (PADT) which was co-created by Lisa’s mother, Jean Darby, and a couple of other “dance moms”.

Fall classes

Late spring and summer are the ideal time to get your students pre-registered for all of their fall classes at Dance Alliance. The studio will take new students and registration until it is time to begin ordering costumes for the Spring Concert.
